Mike Liesik or Dan Brandt once explained that it is difficult get permission to print a JPN promo that has never been seen over here. I don't remember what they said explaining why it makes those in charge nervous. However, reprinting a card from a set that has already had some shelf life is a safe way to go because the card has already been released.

then why didn`t release the garchomp drapion porygon z palkia x alternate arts those were already in sets

This isn't really the time nor place, but Dragonite was always good/decent, it's just worse than Ambipom for most situations.

Wasn't it always a choice for a Garchomp counter? I mean, most people choose Ambipom over it (before and after), but it's still a good choice

When? All I ever heard was
"x2 :colorless: weakness = Garchomp goes NOM NOM NOM"
"2 energy + a gain is too much for attack #1 and is too situational"
"ambipom > dragonite fb"
"4 energies to flip for a 50/50 chance at 100? horrible"
"3 retreat is ridiculous, you have to waste a poke-turn"

Then it is in a Worlds winning decklist and everyone talks about how Dragonite FB is now a great counter and it's showing up in most decks. That's all I'm sayin'.

Unless Dan lied on the Professor forums then I have reason to believe him.

If I wasnt 100% sure, I wouldnt of posted that I knew. But from my earlier post when I WASNT sure, I looked into it and now have a confirmed answer and thats why I stand strong to my point. :thumb:
I am sorry, but I can't see this post on Professor forums (if it is on Pokegym maybe should I do what is needed to recover the Prof logo ?). Is it on Pokegym or on Pokemon.com forums ?

As I see it, it's similar to what anime and manga collectors have to deal with outside of Japan. Licensing issues over anything can just slap fans in the face. For anime, we might not get some DVD extras or even songs (rare cases) because the cost of the license is too great.

TPCi may be connected with Japan's Pokemon Company, but overseas licenses probably still need to be negotiated. Since Japan prints so many cards (because they can afford it), my guess is that TPCi needs to make the hard decisions on what cards (and whatever alternate versions) to bring over. I'm not saying that licensing art isn't as expensive as anime/manga material, but there's still a cost.

Spiritomb promo? That's cool. I can't imagine anyone ahting on this system. At the pinacle of their play we got Rosy, Claydol, Bebe, Uxie and Felicity for just attending league. Who cares if Buterfree Fb and Miltoic acommpanied them?

It's like in the VG when you talk to someone and they give you TM Torment, and then someone else gives you Psychic. Sure one's better, but why complain about Torment when you get Psychic anyway? I'm fine with getting DOnphans personally, they are the best proxies for the Prime we've got :D

Torment is pretty good actually, but what would you do with tm-splash :p

Spiritomb is nice =D

oh you

I would have preferred Call Energy, honestly, since tomb isn't required by nearly every deck but Call is (and I only have one playset of each).

But Spiritomb is pretty freaking awesome. Thank you OP!

When i posted this spiritomb was not announced. I edited it

It will just slow the format down alot with most people playing Spiritomb as a starter.
I still prefer Sableye because it has donking potential.

and i already have 4 RH Spiritombs in my Vilegar list. :nonono:
