Hydreigon/darkrai/dark patch/dark tooth thing would be a neat thing if it increased damage to 50 on 2 benched. Also maybe vileplume/elektric/riakou/eelektric(dark rush) could be worth looking at, maybe include ERL too

Twist mountain + aerodactyl + dark patch = +30 for all dark pokemon.

Which is some scary stuff by itself. Which, btw, also means foul play zoroark has gotten a whole lot meaner, especially against any EX not mewtwo. Imagine jungle clefable on steroids.

Just a heads up.

Bro don't you love to Foul Play a Volt Strike for 170 + Pluspower + Special Metal + whatever meandering monstrosity that you decide to add to it?

I'm gonna call it now and say the next will be called "Dragon Expansion." I can see the sell sheet now:

"Who are these dragons and where did they come from? Play the Pokemon Trading Card Game: Black&White -Dragon Expansion expansion and find out!"

Dark Explorers looks exciting. I'm looking forward to Accelegor and Raikou. Blissey could be good too.

I like the sound of "Dragon Expedition" personally.

Then again since we get a third new focus (dragon types) the naming pattern might change a bit...again.

Too true, the combos are getting a bit silly. That being said Zoroark with Foul Play might have some use again with the support Darkness-Type Pokemon are getting. It will require a deck that already runs all the support it needs to offset what has been hurting it lately, though.

I don't see how it's silly. The only hard part is getting a heads from twist mountain; zorua already has ascension and dark patch will be run in high numbers.

Or have you never played copycat decks before?

If EX pokemon is going to be the play for future metas, you can bet that zoroark will make a comeback. Its dark rush counterpart is already a highly viable card, teching in a foul play version isn't too radical.

Anyone thinking this set will have no impact really need to take a closer look.

Raikou EX, Heatmor, Ultra Ball, Darkrai EX, Empoleon, Zoroark, Darkness Claw, and Dark Patch will all have a very significant impact on the meta game.

I expect that Dark Explorers will have the same horrible pull ratio as Next Destinies with the EX's, as for the cards mentioned:

* Raikou EX - $70 price tag as Mewtwo EX? Yeah sadly and it will be much harder to pull as well.
* Heatmor - Why do we need this guy again? Oh to beat Durant right? What's wrong with attrition?
* Empoleon - Depending on ZekEel/MagEel's popularity it will be a dead card unless paired with Terrakion or Donphan.
* Darkrai EX - Great Ability but bad attack IMO.
* Ultra Ball - Something to replace Communication.
* Zoroark - Seems good I guess.
* Darkness Claw - Solid.
* Dark Patch - Stupid good with Junk Arm.
* Random Receiver - Pokegear 3.0 reprint anyone?

Can someone explain to me why TPCi keeps cutting good cards out of each set like they did in Next Destinies?

The next set isn't going to be good except a few commons.

This is the opinion you should all project if you want these cards to be reasonably priced.

Darkrai EX's attack is good (90 + Baby/Tynamo kill), Raikou EX wont be $70. Random Receiver isn't a pokegear reprint.

Explain? Same # of EX cards + one less shiny should make it easier to pull...
