they should have it in florida

I'll be surprised if they come back here to Florida. Schwimmer told me personally they found the Florida heat and humidity were just too much to bear.

One place I'd like to see considered that hasn't been mentioned yet--the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.

Bring it to London......I personally know the Queen and she said it would be cool and has offered us Buckingham Palace for the weekend...............and yes of course she plays Pokemon!

It's called World Championships (and not a 'with top-international players enriched' US nationals), meaning that it should take place all over the world and not 3 times in a row in the States. So hopefully some year the WC will be in Japan or Europe!

I can certainly understand it being in the USA primarily, since Pokemon USA has to foot the bill for so many participants. I do find it a bit odd to have it in California 2 years in a row, though does make sense considering there is certainly both the room for it and such a huge player base there. But I agree that it should be at least a week or two earlier so as not to conflict with so many school startings in the last 2 weeks of August. That seems unfortunate. I just hope they continue with the excellent live coverage so that those of us who are unable to attend are still able to feel a part of it all! They did a great job this year, and of course so did Pokegym, to keep us all up to the minute on the action this year!

Chicago is just, no. Grinders finish around 10PM. 10PM. Chicago. Night time. I'm looking into my crystal ball and I'm seeing a "NO." Take it from someone who camped outside NikeTown Chicago, there are a lot sirens and a few too many people walking around. I love the city during the day, I mean its fantastic. But at night, when all of these events are letting out you'll have 100s of people riding the subway, I gurantee you'll get parents pulling their kids out of events to get to the hotel early. My experience on the subway is this: Under the influence of any number of drugs people can actually sleep while standing up, holding on the pole and snoring loud enough wake a bear from hibernation. Enough ragging on Chicago, like I said its a great city. Just not late at night.
About that, the tournament would probably not be held in Chicago itself, but rather in the Rosemont Convention Center, which is located about 3/4 of a mile from O'Haire Airport (Chicago), and is also surrounded by hotels galore. Rosemont is probably the safest area that I know of, and the convention center floor is absolutely massive, most certainly enough space for a single game's World Championships, plus anything else that PUI might have planned for the weekend.

Ooooo! Anaheim eh. I planned a trip there to go long driving next year during those dates! Maybe i'll be flying there :O...or play in the grinder :)

I have no problam with World's being in Anaheim........in 2007. I think this would be an ideal situation....

year 1- East Coast
year 2- West Coast
year 3- Midwest
year 4- Overseas(Japan?)

lather, rinse, repeat. That way everyone(almost) get Worlds close to them eventually
