Non-Delta Archytypes

As soon as PK came out I was fairly excited because I thought that there might even be some playable archytypes (other then flariados and mewtric) that could be played without the holon engine. But it would seem that that is not the case. Can anybody think of a potentially good archy that can run without the holon engine?

I don't understand the question, non-delta archtypes have nothing to do with whether you run the holon engine or not. You can certainly have archtypes that consist of primarily non-delta pokemon but still run a light holon engine (for example, Bandoom is a non-delta archtype that uses a holon engine). You should differentiate the two in the discussion.

Very unlikely - the Holon Engine is just so broken compared to every other searching engine. Also see, Castform

I can't think of a single good deck that doesn't now run the engine.

Nothing else is better...
3 basics
tvr-type draw and copycat-type draw
farmer
lass in some decks
researcher in delta decks

It boosts consistency SO much.

If you play a good version of it you need it.

I actually agree. As for the topic itself, the holon engine is just so broken. Trans being a search for basics, a celios for delta, a tv reporter or a much worse version of copycat all in just 1 transceiver is great.

I 100% agree with Ryan and Captain Petey. The Holon engine is just too versatile and consistent. I haven't found a single deck that doesn't improve by adding the Holon engine to it. I think we might see some smaller versions of the Holon engine in the future with the release of some decent non-delta cards though.
