Okay, I know what i did was wrong, but I hate being called a criminal! I'm an average kid that did something stupid that day! I get it, got it, done.

I'm simple yet wanted to make an interesting article on 6P but in NO WAY wanted to hurt other's feelings.

Did I? I sure did. And I'm sorry.

If you "get it, got it, done" why are you selling the trophy? Why did you take the kindle?

In your article you basically say "oh well I'll win the kindle for my dad" and "I need the money for school".

News flash buddy, the other people that would've won probably need money for stuff and could use a kindle. You're basically STEALING from the person that could've gotten top 4, and also the other 3 of the top 4 who would've placed better. Think about how you'd feel if you were in their position. You're making a poor, greedy choice by selling the trophy, and I hope someday you'll regret it.

^ While I'm not saying its quite as extreme, the concepts are similar enough to be considered bad on both ends, and it definitely is a question of bad character. I wouldn't "admire" either off a manner of guts. Save that for someone who puts more on the line for a good cause.

I'm not going into detail about the whole university thing as I think people arguing that is a little extreme. I honestly don't think Kent State would give a crap. (Lets talk Integrity when we see them play against my home school in Basketball.. Yeah, none there.)

Truth be told, I'm from Ohio and I'm sadly shocked that JP would actually suggest something of this sort, but if it happened, it happened.

man this sucks

posting it for everyone to see shows he is sorry.
but instead of selling the trophy, he should have given it to 2nd place and apologized to her as well.

but sorry or not, he still deserves to be punished

i dont know about lifetime ban though, i kinda think most of the people who have said that were in the tournament or know someone who was. (i can understand why they are angry, i would be too)

but the ban should be more than 4 years. that way it goes past his hiatus.

Not for nothing, but this in no way allows the reposting of copyrighted material. Adam had nothing to do with this, but his site broke the story and should get the traffic.

I expect he's getting a lot of traffic checking out his site from this.

Here's what I hope happens...

1. Mr. Aires pays TPCi back for the prizes he essentially stole. (You can't enter a girl's beauty pageant, be a boy, and expect to keep the prize.)
2. TPCi awards the second place winner first place.
3. TPCi looks into how this happened and makes sure it doesn't happen again. (Though of course they're likely already doing this.) Some of the responsibility does fall on them, but it's not like anyone was ever expecting someone to pull this kind of thing. Sounds more like a technical error if anything with how he was able to enter.
4. TPCi gives Mr. Aires a very long ban from organized play (though seeing as how he is bragging about it, maybe it should be a lifetime ban).

I don't think you guys should go tell his college unless justice does not get served here. That's a little overboard and should only be done as a last resort.

The minority of people who would actually be hired by an ex pokemon player who actually remembers one kids name who scammed a tournament once that happened at least four years ago, is one of the smallest minorities I can think of. But I suppose if it happens he'll find another job as it will probably never happen again.

LOL. I'd hire a Pokemon player in a NY minute. There are more of us than you might think. Still, there are more teenagers with indiscretions in their past than you can shake a stick at. I'm not even sure if a lifetime ban isn't too harsh here.

The Professor Cup is something that honors the hard work of our Judges and League leaders. The people who make the game POSSIBLE by donating their time to a community cause. Dishonoring that is something to goes beyond the spirit of the game and is a disgusting black mark on the integrity of a person. If someone snuck into the tournament to play and forfitted every match, they would still be messing with the system. I know for a lot of people this is only a story because he won. If he went 0-7, i'd still hope Pokemon showed him the door swiftly.

These are the kind of things that get these events canceled or create hassle for those who rightly can participate. i hope this instance only inspires people to avoid this action and doesnt have reprecussions to those amazing people who make all that we as a community come together for possible.

What should happen to the Professor who brought him there and knew he shouldn't be there??? Its part his falt also.

If you see the FIRST POST, you'll see only a part of the article is posted and in order to view the full article, one must click the SixPrizes link I provided in the first line of the first post. When I first posted this thread the article 85 views. It's now at 1,806 views and rising. It's only been like 5 hours or so. I'm sure at least some of those views came from people clicking the link from this site.

I think he's referring to the person who posted the entire post a couple of pages back.

Well honestly, the staff I feel are at fault as well.

It's mostly his fault, but the staff could have check his points and noticed he had zero/wasn't even a professor.
