Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

OFFICIAL - UK City Championships 2008/09

Brilliant. Saved me a google search. (Y)

Turns out that my mate thinks he's staying in MAnchester with me through from the 6th to Monday now, which is slightly irritating (but welcome!). So I may be there, I may not be. Have to find out when he's going.

Hello I just had a couple of questions.. since i might be visiting the UK during states time..

1. Do you get the same sets during the same time as the us?
2.Is your format different or is it still DP-SF ?
3. Do a lot of people play over there?

thank you in advanced

=]

oh and one more thing I see a lot of people doing this (L) (H) (Y) could you tell me what that meas/why you do it?

I think we might get the sets a week or two afterwards, but yeah, we're on DP-SF at the moment. A fair amount play, no idea how it measures up to the US, but considering that you have States whilst we have Cities and a State is a **** of a lot bigger than a City, I'd guess that more people come to yours. You have a bigger country and all.

(L) is the MSN heart emoticon.
(H) I'm not sure on, think it might be the cool one.
(Y) is the thumbs up smiley.

Thank you =]

if no one understands you trust me at least i do, i came to UK alone as well and had to look for an apartment and atudy at the same time...... well if you do have any questions just send me a PM i would gladly help you out

which part of UK are you moving to??

We're not scary at all over here - just remember tho' that you guys and gals from the good ol' US of A are seperated from us Brits by a common language

So you may want to look up the meanings of certain slang expressions before you move. There is a good if sometimes dated guide here

Anyway one really good thing is that we have more OP and League play than ever in the UK and it's still growing so come on over and say hello.. we won't bite.. much

And here in Kent we are not far from the original Rochester - Dickens all round methinks -

See this is why I love the pokemon community. because everyone is really nice and caring and is willing to help :]

thank you again :]

Yay, a new person here, just out of interest what attracts you to the Uk apart from the fabulous weather??

Luke

Hiya,l welcome to the UK - look forward to seeing you for Nats maybe end of May?

Also, fyi, in regards to release dates/pre releases etc -our OP Mirrors the US so what happens here generally happens here! Any other q's regarding OP in the UK feel free to give me a PM.

Manchester CC's were awesome, so many up and coming players.

Great decks like T2 Scizor/cherrim, Dusknoir/Cresselia, Bibarel! Infernape was awesome too.

Final was me vs Russel, great matches really tense i managed to stick to consistency rather than risks and pulled the win.

Love my new pokeball playmat!!

Oh out of 18 boosters I only pulled one lvl.x......heatran @_@ where as in 4 boosters Nick hancox pulled dusknoir lvl.x and raichu lvl.x

OKay just a reminder for everyone planning to come on down to the Gamers Guild on Saturday 20 December in Normandy, Sunday 21 December in Rainham or Saturday 27 December in Crayford that:

1. Decklist will be required so do them before you arrive - you can find a decklist here
2. If you are coming to Crayford on Saturday 27 December places are limited and it is best to pre-register to ensure your place. PM me or email me [email protected] to pre-register
3. There is ample free parking at all locations and both Rainham and Crayford next to the Train Stations, Normandy is about a 15 min walk from the station - if you take it easy :D
4. We would love to see you at all of our CC's and you can find more details on how to get to us HERE
5. Everyone will win at least one booster pack as well as receiving a promo card* and a badge* - *whilst stocks last -

So we hope to see you soon at one or all of our CC's and there will be one free lucky dip for all too.

I like to thank everyone that came to the Brighton CC on sat. I hope that everyone had fun (even though the fair was rubbish). Sorry that I didn't give out any promos or medals to the winner, reason being that I didn't recieved them, however I will try and track everyone down when I do recieve them.
