Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ontario CC's Discussion Thread (10 CC Dates Are Up!!!And 1 Pre-CC Date!!!)

@ugly_psyduck: At Provincial, i will do the one in Quebec for sure, but for the one in Ontario, not sure if i'm allowd to do it. Isn't residencial proof needed to register?? I'm not sure showing my driver's license from Quebec is good enough!

I'll be there for Regional for sure! :thumb:

TimeZero, both provincials and Regionals are open events. People from any province or any country for that matter can play in whichever one they choose. Only Nationals are closed events for those from that particular country. So you may end up seeing some players from Ontario in Quebec provincials - especially if they are held on a different date as the Ontario one.

Wait, so is there going to be a Quebec Provincials??? If so, I will go there if it is on a different weekend. That would amazing:)

As of yet, no info is available, Zach - from either PTO. I wouldn't mind a road trip as well, but we'll see how things go.

I would probably go as well

Nice job. Last Cities and 3 champs who hadn't won one yet. Sorry we missed out. Congrats to Emma, Winston and Coleman from the Ugly Clan.

Yep, I definitely got a laugh at that seniors match! Good job seniors, and definitely great job by Team Utopia. Working together on decks, and giving the best effort possible pays off. I'd like to thank everyone who showed up today. When I got a chance to recount the participants, we had 16 Masters, 13 Seniors, and 9 Juniors - for a total of 38 people.

3rd place Juniors: Kayla L.
4th place Juniors: Owen L.

3rd place Seniors: Michael L.
4th place Seniors: Alaric M-B

3rd place Masters: Ray Lui
4th place Masters: Troy Nayler (also from Team Utopia I believe)

Good job everyone.

Just a reminder - we have a prerelease coming up on Jan 31st in Barrie at Gamer's Lair, and Feb 7th at Orangeville's Gauntlet. Then there's a break for a bit, and the common/uncommon guy will be coming the last Saturday in February - the 28th. That's a good time to trade up for cards to help for your provincials deck for March 14th and 21st. We'll probably have a pre-provincials event available for those interested.

Those who have been following things in this thread probably realize that the team play side event was cancelled. However this was due to time constraints mostly, so for those interested, we will be redoing the event in a premier time slot of it's own on a league day. Pm me if you are interested.

P_A I am just team management. I do not qualify to be a player on the team. You have to actually be good :)

@smacktack15: No infos so far about Provincials, but there is a good chance we will have one for Quebec. I guess it would be in Montreal. :thumb:

New info - Pre-Provincials on Sunday March 8th. I haven't had time to put it on the Utopia Gaming website yet, but that's the plan. I'll see what I'm capable to put up as prize support, but it'll definitely be worth coming to the event for. At this point 1 box of product is assured - more is possible. Since Provincials are either March 14th or 21st, that's a good time to have an event.

Edited in new date info. I can't specify the location just yet. It's not quite set in stone just yet.

I will try to make it to pre-provincials as it sounds fun. Also, does the "Champ" work at Pre-Provincials and events like that?

Those are classed as league type events, since they aren't prereleases or sanctioned premier events - so I don't think I could afford to do that. I guess you found the loophole Zach!

Lol so the things that qualify are Pre-releases, CCs, and BRs. This is cool and it makes everyone want to do better (at least it makes me want to do better). I will be at the Barrie Pre-release for sure and most likely the Orangeville Pre-Release. Hope to see alot of people there:)

Good luck at the Pre-releases everyone, I think its Milton and Oakville for the Ugly Crowd. Thanks for the thread Zack, excellent job in keeping it updated.
