I am gld he is ok, but why would someone from Western Oregon drive all the way to Boise, Idaho when there is a State Championship right in his own backyard?

flaming spinich probably couldn't bare to succumb to the might of moxies for a second week in a row, because that'd simply result in DOUBLE TROUBLE.

Masters was broken into 2 serperate tournements. Flight one had 34 players, and Fight 2 had 35
No one from one flight played anyone in the other flight durring swiss play. So instead of 7 rounds of Swiss and a top 8. We had 2 serperate tournements that were 6 rounds of swiss and a top 4 in each.
So we had one player in swiss go 5-1 and not make the top cut.
I'd like to clarify something since the ability to run a large group in seperate flights is brand new. While it is true that we had a 5-1 player fail to make the top cut, that had nothing to do with running 2 flights. It happened because we capped the top cut at 8 players. A group of 69 players normally calls for a top 16, and if we had done that the 5-1 player would have been in. Even if we had run all 69 players together with 7 rounds of swiss, capping the top cut at 8 would have likely excluded a 5-1 player.

Flighting big age groups was met with both positive and negative comments. Those of you attending big events will see more of this however, because it cuts time. As it was, we didn't finish up until around 10:00 PM.

I want to thank all 138 players and all their support personnel (Parents) for making the tournament one of the high points in the 06/07 season in Oregon. I had a blast. NW players are the BEST!!!

Oh man, yesterday was so awesome. I'm so glad we did some Gameboy matches on the TV and Gamecube. Although the SSBM tourney didn't happen like Phazon and I expected, but it was still a lot of fun.
Any news on the winners from all 3 age divisions?

CMex: what about the gameboy results?

We had a truly awesome, fun day. BDS and Mr. Raichu and Shawn ran a smooth tournament and gave away some fabulous prizes (thanks June for your ebay finds). Others ran the GBA and video tournaments keeping many kids happy. Along with some light-sabered kids running around-- and Nurse Joy passing out a few band-aids, we kept busy.
Looking forward to Regionals.

GBA Tournament results:
first place: Travis
Second Place: Kayhon
Third Place: Libby
Forth place: Kelsey

Sorry, I don't know anyone's last names. I don't think Phazon did an actual Melee tourney, do don't ask me for anymore results.

I am mad, I missed the final cut by less then 2%.
Just because Daniel didn't here me say something
and then he said that I didnt do it so he ended up
winning.
