- Is there a difference between Constructed and Modified? It's listed differently in the events list.
- No team play this year on Sunday? I am not sad about this.
- Nothing planned for Wednesday night?

Neither am I. I was never a fan of organized tag team. It got too complicated.

More time to search for Werewolfs. You'll be there for the hunt, right?

I loved team play under Wizards. POP, not so much.

Werewolves, you bet! One of the great late night parts of Origins!

Bummer - I like team. It's a chance to compete with one of my kids, instead of competing against them. Plus, it's very social - everyone chats the whole time. But, it's not extremely competitive.

I definitely did enjoy the Team Play constructed with my son last year too!! The rules can get very complicated. (Agreed)

Sunday modified? Seems anti-climatic, after likely being donked in the nationals. I hope someone runs a team play event.

Cool. I'm not flying in til Thursday, so I didn't realize they'd be set up already.

They didn't post M45's Midnight Draft on Thursday, location and sets TBA?

Oh, I guess it is not an official event.

It is a Rochester draft though!

Is anyone interested in doing an unsanctioned/fun Battle Royal format?
Its a format we've been working on in Sarasota over the past couple of years.
We'd need at least 6 players besides myself and PenguinMaster.
The format is crazy and tons of fun; let me know if you're be interested and I'll start looking in to it.

There would be a prize, probably a sealed box.

Again, it would not be sanctioned.

EDIT:
Some details on the Battle Royal Format (complete rules still being ironed out)

- Players sit in a circle or a rectangle (similar to team play) however there are no teams - this format is a free-for-all where every pokémon is eligible to be attacked by every player on every turn!

- Gameplay moves in a clockwise direction.

- Special conditions activate directly before your turn and directly after your turn

- 60 Card Deck; Modified; NO PRIZES. You are eliminated from the game when you have either no Pokémon in play or you run out of cards in your deck.

- Whenever one of YOUR Pokémon is knocked out, you must draw the top two cards from your deck.

- The last trainer standing is the winner!

Don't forget the PokeGym event!
Also, Chrisbo should be bringing a suitcaseful of PokeGym shirts.
Bring your cash!

Vince, is that the Free Piglet Draft you're always talking about?

MUTANT!!!

I just got the preregistration magazine. What's with the new format? And they're making us download the event schedule?

Gorn, I don't even see Werefolf listed. Maybe they're doing it informally?

I'm not sure if Werewolf has ever shown up as a scheduled event. I think Looney Labs just starts running it around 9:00 or 10:00 every night upstairs.

I've got to admit that I'm a little disappointed in the events this year. No movies?! Last year "Army of Darkness" was shown. What could be better!

Regardless of the Pokemon aspect, it seems like Origins is going downhill. Next year may be a Gencon year for us if there's not some sign that Origins is going to improve.
