Our Modified format HP - DP. Does it work at all?

I actually thing pokéball has something going for it if players can be prepared to play flip cards.

It's supporter non-flip parralel required a cost of one to be payed which sort of levels it out as pokéball being slightly more efficent as usable with a supporter.

Yes you are ^
Town Volunteers (Aquapolis) also did let you shuffle Pokemon back.
Pokemon Retriever and later on Holon Farmer.
(In a way Revive, however it's not the same)
 
Time Space Distortion gets Pokémon out of the discard pile but its such an expensive card to put in a deck :(

Old rod is insanely innefective. I mean. only 25% chance of it working they way you'd really want? Not worth the card it's... no, not worth the space the card takes up.
 
"IF" things dont start to look up I going to ebay and just going to spend the money on the Time Space-Distortions All you need is three.

We in the UK have had no notification of change and as far as I am concerned we are on DX-on until we have official notification of our change to HP-on or whatever may follow.. check the bottom of the .pdf page one for the quote in it's full context.

Well it means that effective 1st september you in the UK (and everywere else) also loose DX-LM, you will be on HP - Whatever format, but DX-LM will be out.
That bottom line only means that it is possible the HP-on format for some countries will not have the most recent releases included.
In other words, HP-DP1 is one of the formats which can be expected, but it can also be HP-PK or HP-DP2.
 
I actually have no problem with our current format.
So what if we have no way of getting pokemon back from the discard?
Just don't be dependant on that, and play Copycat and Rowan to secure not decking out.
 
REALLY? Some countries in the EU will then actually use HP - DP2 after all? But who are "we"? Netherlands and the UK?

I don't think the same could be possible for Norway, I'm afraid. :(
 
Tego, Some people imported DP2 cards into a country they dont want to wait too long for DP2 cards....So yeh :)

No, if it hasn't been officially released in the country, you can't use it at a sanctioned tournament.
It doesn't matter if you have copies of the cards from somewhere else or not.

As far as I know it's only the Netherlands now.

And of course it can be done, it was a matter of switching BR with Prereleases.
Seems that the releases date has been pushd forward which made this possible.
It only is a matter of shipping the prerelease boxes a bit earlier, well this could also be done for DP1 so I don't see a problem.
Remember most of your players will not cry if you switch it, Hp-DP2 has so much more to offer I am really glad our BR are a little later.

Way to go Europe- new games come out, more kids interested in the card game etc and we don't have a modified tournament til....late October?

NO you misunderstood me, the normal way is Battle Roads end september, prerelease almost direct after or in the same weekends.
Overhere they simply delayed the BR 2 weeks and have them after the prerelease, which is imo a very good move.

So either your first tournament can be, BR starting september 22 or Prerelease starting september 29.
And late October is much much earlier to have tournament as ever before.
Normally most countries have CC's starting end November so what are you talking about?
 
We can't start prereleses until around October 10th - 17th because that's when we get our product. City Championships start in the last two weeks of November in Norway, so we can't move it until after prerelease simply because's there's no room/time for it. Aw well. :\
 
Tego - I am pretty sure if your LD asks PUI to ship XX boxes to do a prerelease (so before the retail shipment) they will do it and you can have prereleases before BR.
Remember the LD's wish is PUI/POP's command, it's sale.
