You could always get the screen brighter by adjusting the settings.

Nope. I had an old TV that didn't have settings.

UF: I would back down now. You should cut your losses while you can. You are fighting an uphill battle that you won't win. That is all from me.

"A warning to people who think they're buying a good game"? It is a good game. Hence, why there is no need to warn anyone about anything. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't a good game. It just means your taste in games sucks.

Disney isn't as bad as you're giving them credit for. The Emperor's New Groove has to be one of the best animated movies I have seen in a LONG time. The Suite Life is also one of the best Disney channel original series I've seen. Granted, Disney makes some pretty crappy movie spin offs (The Emperor's New School for example...the worst thing about that is the VA changes for the emperor and the fat dude apart from it just not living up to the original; but the Aladin series was pretty good) and really crappy sequels. (Bambi 2, anyone? Then again, I never liked the first so I just assume it's bad >>; Again, the Aladin sequels were good too)

Kingdom Hearts was great. Kingdom Hearts 2 will be awesome.

Disney is just fine. For small children.

Sucks? Sure. My taste sucks. I'm assuming you play anime games. My GC collection consists of Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime, MP 2: Echoes, Madden 06, MVP Baseball 2005, Pokemon XD, Resident Evils 2 and 4, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, and SSBM. Tell me that sucks. Go play Dragonball Z and don't annoy the gamers.

killerzeo: "Cut my losses"? I already brought it back(luckily, it was used). Now I am merely trying to inform these people of the pitiful games they are playing.

Unseenforces what are you talking about? There are alot of good games and alot of bad games but all you are doing is bashing good games.Come up with some reasons because otherwise it is just your opinion that KH sucks. Ithink it is a great game and your choice of games is not bad just show me some proof Otherwise shut up. (No mean to be rude but had to get my point through)

You're as bad as he is. People have different tastes in games. Some people like some games and dislike others. Just because it's different from your preferences doesn't make it wrong.

However, rejecting a game just because it has a certain theme to it ("kiddy" game rejection and similar cases, like this) is also stupid. So it's got disney characters in it. So what? Does that have ANYTHING to do with the actual gameplay?

It's a platformer, a game in the genre that was birthed by Super Mario 64 and ended after Super Mario 64. Unless you're trying to have every PS2 game, DO NOT BUY KINGDOM HEARTS!!!
Platformers were around LONG before Super Mario 64. Ever heard of Pitfall?

Fact: I hate DBZ. I used to play Budokai occasionally, but I never owned it.

As for fighting games I like:
Soul Caliber II and III
Rival Schools for the Dreamcast (really wish I knew where my copy ran off to)
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Jump Superstars

RPGs:
Disgaea
Star Ocean
Xenosaga
Tales of Symphonia
Kingdom Hearts
Baten Kaitos
.hack// series
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
Mario & Luigi Partners in Time
Fire Emblem

Other:
Katamari
We <3 Katamari
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
Animal Crossing

And a lot of things I haven't mentioned yet.

So...that makes...ONE anime game (Jump Super Stars). None of the others are based off an anime.

I suppose I'm not really a hard core gamer. But, at least I'm not bashing a game simply because I think it's "kiddy." You haven't even brought up a single point as to why it is bad. Much less why you even dislike it. (other than you dislike the action RPG genre in entirity which is hardly a basis for a game being bad) Yet, you insist that the game is awful when the MAJORITY of the gaming community disagrees. Kingdom Hearts got high scores. The sequel will too. The game has a great plot, a good battle engine, and is entertaining enough to make you want to finish it (which I really have a problem with, KH is one of the few games I really felt compelled to finish.)

Idk what to say about Disney in general. Can you "define" disney? I think it's a company. =/ Oh and guys, these are all OPINIONS and none of you are right. mmk? good. So no more bashing.

*click* 'mom :nonono:

Disney is for fruits. Sure Kingdom herts was good, but without the Disney characters the game would be alot better.

No, because if, say, Donald was replaced with your standard mage and Goofy your standard knight, you'd have Yet Another RPG. A good part of Kingdom Hearts was how it blended standard RPG elements with Disney to actually do something unique as opposed to just feeding the masses another crappy RPG.

Then again, people seem to think it's "cool" to hate Disney, which is another problem. The Disney elements of Kingdom Hearts (which include the Organization, by the way) are either classics or just plain well-done—they even let Axel slip through a swear ("This is going to be one hell of a show!"), which you'd think would be enough for today's "mature" gamers.

Here's some reasons:

Gameplay: Slow and unresponsive. f you've played as many games as I have, you'll realize how long the camera control takes to get used to. The battles are fine FOR AN ACTION GAME. An RPG battle should be like Fire Emblem, Mario & LUig, and Final Fantasy IV Advance( FFII to those who remember).

Graphics: Pitiful. Though graphics do not make a game, I expected much more. The cut scenes aren't bad, but while running around you'll think you're playing a PS1. Only the Disney characters are very well crafted. And I am taking into consideration the 2001 release date.

Storyline: Average. Probably the game's best feature. The many worlds are okay, but Sora's motivation reminds you of Pikachu's constant kidnppings on the god-awful tv show.

How's that?

BTW Mississippi Man, RPGs are my favorite genre.

apparently someone's never heard of the class "Action RPG"...

It's supposed to be that way, and other games in that class are like that as well. lessee.... the .hack series, the Star Ocean series, the Tales series (i think, ive only played Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia tho), all Action RPGs.

Check Ebay, I sold all my Dreamcast stuff not too long ago, it still has a following and people still buy/sell stuff for it

I know what an Action RPG is, but it sucks. There's no point in it. Do you mean Tales of Symphonia is an Action Rpg? If so, thanks. I was thinking about buying it and if it's like KH I'll get Metal gear Solid: The Twin Snakes instead.

I think the point is, you simply dislike the genre.

I don't like FPS's. Does that mean I can say that every single FPS game sucks, just because I don't like it?

Tales of Symphonia was awesome. I'm definately looking foward to Legendia (is that out yet? >>;) and Abyss. Star Ocean is another good one, cheap too. It's on the best seller list so you can nab it for $20.

I'm done trying to reason with someone who just won't be reasoned with. RPGs were meant to be blended with action elements. The two go together so well. You can only play so many menu flipping games before it gets old (though, something like Disgaea doesn't ever get old). I like to be involved in the battles a little more. Granted, Dragon Quest VIII (which I forgot to list) is a really nice traditional RPG, I like it a lot (and need to find more time to play it).

This will probably be the last word from this "Mississippi Man" on this topic because it has become pointless to try to argue further. (obviously, if I decide to reply again this line will mysteriously disappear :D)

It's pointless to argue because you have no argument. He doesn't like the action, and you can't convince him to. Likewise, he can't convince anyone that does like it to dislike it.

It's all just opinions, people. No one's "right."

Exactly, ZtG. According to most of you people, KH is the best game of all time. According to someone that wants their money's worth, like me, it is a waste. It all depends on your preferences and level of expected quality.

BTW, I forgot to mention The Wind Waker, Soul Calibur 2, Spider-Man 2(jump off buildings!), and Luigi's Mansion in my list.
