Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokémon Kicks off Its McDonald’s Happy Meal Promotion in North America This Summer

Pretty much everything you eat in the US is processed in some way or another.
McDonalds always gets a bad rap for being SO UNHEALTHY, but really it's not much worse than any other burger joint. Do yourselves a favor and if you are going to eat here get chicken instead of beef, substitute fries for something else, and just drink water or some other drink that's not loaded with sugar.

You can eat healthy at these places, it's all about the choices you make. Just limit the amount of saturated fat, sodium, and sugar in your diet, and do yourself a favor and eliminate all trans fats (that usually means no more burgers). Also monitor your carb intake if you don't live an active lifestyle.

This. I've never heard more random complaining before! I didn't remember hearing all the fuss when we had Burger King for the past 2 years, so why complain now McDonalds is just about the same? I don't know if I play at the same tables everyone does, but when did Pokemon players become so "health conscious"? : P

The only food places that have ever offered Pokemon Toys are KFC, Burger Kind, and McDonalds, and those last two are probably the only places where it makes sense to have toy promotions anymore. They're the only companies that can afford to advertise the media giant that Pokemon is right now, and the only place where it really makes sense, seeing as they're the only venue with prevalent kid-exclusive meal. McDonalds isn't "sponsoring" McDonalds, they're just using one large company as a giant front to advertise on. Most of us "big kids" need to remember that we're not Pokemon's target audience, and probably won't be for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I'd like to see Pokemon sponsor a promotion about having an active lifestyle. I think that's where most of us gamers could use the most help. But then again, that'd be much less profitable for the company, so it probably won't happen.

JWittz: Pokemon has advertised with Subway before. Subway does have a nominal "kid's menu" which is a 3-inch sandwich, chips, and drink.

Zoroark- Moving arms and waist.
Tepig- Press on its back to have its tail light up!
Zekrom- Moving arms and wings.

Zorua- Push down on his back and he pounces forward!
cards:
Snivy
Oshawott
Tepig
Munna
Blitzle
Maractus
Sandile
Klink
'mom

The Zorua looks like it is kind of plushy, and is pretty cute!

If I remember, I will try to get to McDonalds in the future.

I remember playing there when I was little. :rolleyes: I also remember the day I got to big to play there :mad:

I remember digging around in the ball pits (which I think very few indoor playgrounds have these days) for change. I'd usually find between $1 and $4 or so in change in those things lol,

Looks like the cards will be BW reprints, possibly with a set stamp.
Nope. They're the 9 Journey Partner cards, with three BW reprints thrown in for some reason.

From left to right:

Pidove
Uncommon BW Audino
Sandile
Snivy
Uncommon BW Maractus
Blitzle
Oshawott
Tepig
Munna
Klink
Uncommon BW Alomomola
Zoura

None of them are particularly great.

EDIT: Figured out the last three. Not 100% sure on Alomomola, but what little we can see of the card does resemble the shoreline on the card. Plus, it matches the description of a "high-level water Pokemon" that the scanner used ("high-level" as in 100HP) and fits the pattern of basic non-evolving uncommon Pokemon.

McDonald's promotion to give new cards

Unlike the last two Burger King promotions, some of the cards distributed with the McDonald's promotion will be newly translated. NOTE: Zorua and Pidove have not yet been confirmed, and some of the cards may have been misidentified for specific card; the Pokemon itself is correct, however.

Munna
:psychic: Yawn
The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep.

Klink
:metal: Charge Beam 10
Flip a coin. If heads, search your discard pile for an Energy card and attach it to Klink.
:metal::colorless: ViceGrip 20

Blitzle
:lightning::colorless: Quick Attack 10+
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage.

Pidove
:colorless: Growl
During your opponent's next turn, any damage done by attacks from the Defending Pokémon is reduced by 20 (before applying Weakness and Resistance).
:colorless: Gust 10

Sandile
:fighting::colorless::colorless: Sand Tomb 30
The Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn.

Zorua
:colorless: Scratch 10
:dark::colorless: Fury Swipes 10×
Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

The starter tin promos will also be released, with different artwork, as will Maractus (BW1 11). Two other cards are currently unknown.

Like I said in the McDonalds promotion thread, the other three cards are reprints of BW Audino, Alomonomola and Maractus.
