Pokemon 2010 VGC Support & Discussion

^ Bronzong may get some increased play for that purpose. I built my friend a SS/tr team since he didnt have time to breed one himself. I test battled him with it and that bronzong is a beast. My infernape and salamence both fireblasted int and the only reason it died is because of burn at end of turn. And having both leads with FB (one STAB'd) is obviously the best way to damage bronzong. I would have been destroyed by it with any other leads.
'Zong can set up TR, raindance, sunnyday, sandstorm.
The point im trying to make for /zong is that he has access to all sorts of different effects nd is very difficult to stop w/o taunt.

so i can use pokemon at lv 100 and it will go down to lv 50 and i can use 2 legands that are not the same and is there an item rule

charizard would do better than tyh just because of heatwave and is flying. infernape could make a nice starter because of dialga.

Infernape without focus sash will just get water spouted to death... or earthquaked... or psychic'd its really just tooo frail

Infernape is a top tier threat being a strong physical attacker and strong special attacker. Granted, kyogre has the upper hand on it, but infernape is still usable.

^Infernape is useable in singles, but even in doubles a water spout will activate sash or KO from the start and any other attack will KO it. Even if the infernape is scarfed it can't OHKO Kyogre

it may not be able to kill him, but if you raise a timid infnernape with grass knot it will do a lot of damage. not don't jump all over me because i'm not implying that this should be done, i'm just saying its a really good idea if someone is planning on using an infernape. and if its scarfed you will still be able to do it once. and every fire pokemon is frail to water spout on a scarfed kyog

What "rules" are there for the event? I mean evasion modifiers are banned as are guillotine, sheer cold, etc. Is there any nonsense like a sleep clause? Is breloom practical in this format?

@arc- not sure on the exact rulings. I think that Pokemon . com posts the rules closer to the event time.
Breloom is good as a hit and run- like weavile.
grass/fight makes for many weaknesses, but breloom can pack a mean punch.

well pack a scarf on it and spam spore on everything that comes out was my plan. I realize breloom is slow though. Something bulky with follow me could also work with breloom

^Clefable is epic, since togekiss would be the other choice but togekiss has too many weaknesses. Clefable can also cosmic power to up its defense and sp defense if you think they're just going to try to set up
