But both of mine had 2 char and 2 lvXs.

Personally, I think they've actually switched it up and made it so it isnt a set number any more, due to the fact that the LvXs aren't the only super rares in the set any more.
 
I wanted to update this with my box information.

I bought 2 boxes. I pulled a Regigigas lv.X, Raichu lv.X, Heatran lv.X, and Shaymin lv.X. I also pulled 1 of each shiny Pokemon, 1 Charizard, and 1 Charmelon. This was EXACTLY what I expected.

I mixed up the packs to begin with, and opened them at different points, but I am pretty sure one box came with the fabled Regigagas and Raichu combo that has been seen at least 2 other times, and the other came with Heatran/Shaymin. I make a point about the Raichu/Regigigas because it reminds me of DP5/DP4 where certain boxes had specific cards. Of course, there isn't different boxes now, but I don't see how it has to be different.

The Shinies seem to be on the same level as the lv.Xs, honestly. 1 per box. I don't see why they shouldn't be treated as such. So, realistically, you can get around 2 lv.X, 1 char, and 1 shiny. If your box doesn't come with a shiny, then you probably will get another lv.X or another char. Then you have weird boxes...which do happen. Like my DP4 box that only came with 2 Lv.X and the last lv.X was a normal Leafeon instead of the Leafeon lv.X.

Holographic card ratios were decent, but outragous in some cases. I pulled 5 Regigigas holos and 5 Mismagius holos yet only 1 Shaymin. The rest of the foils I pulled around 2-4 of each.

The rares weren't bad. I pulled only 3 Gengar, which is a HUGE bummer, but I did pull 5 Tyranitar, which was cool.

I only pulled 3 Pokedrawer, yet 4-5 of the other poke-stuff. So many of that lame supporter too, which was bizzare.

Overall, I think the boxes are more concrete and static then we give them credit for. We just haven't figured out the system they use to divy it out.

B_T: Each of your boxes came with 2 chars? Did either have a shiny? If not, there is your ticket.

If I had to make a guess, I'd say that Japan is giving us Char and Shinies to make up for the 1 less lv.X we get in a box. So now we get 2 lv.X and 2 super rare cards.
 
my IFDS Box:

Charizard
Charmander
Heatran Lv x
Raichu lv x

Im pretty sure Charizard counts as a lv x,
not sure for meleon/mander since it was randomly put into a pack. (as a common)
(but I only did get 1 mander in my box.)
 
OMG I really want to buy one of these boxes, but I can't stress how much I dislike the Charizard line counting as a lv x. Here is what I can piece together from this info, though I think that Prime pretty much said it all already:

2 LV X
1 Char
1 Shiny

This seems standard, with the possibility that you may not get one of the cards above, but it will be replaced by another of the cards listed above. Either way, it is SOOO much better than buying an English box.

homeofmew: It makes sense. Guaranteed 2 lv.Xs with a random assortment of 2 cards, which are either shinies or chars. So I got 1 char and 1 shiny in each box. You got 2 char and 0 shiny.

Again, this is all speculation, but it works pretty well.

homeofmew: I don't think there is going to be a perfect system, like there was with DP4/DP5, but if you look at the majority of the boxes, most of them fall under the system I suggested. Looks like the odd box you got at least was odd in a good way.
 
So you guys are enjoying your boxes, but ar the IFDS boxes as good as the others you have opened? Hmm, i think i am asking which boxes did you like more.

nice work getting the boxes and the Lv.Xs, where did you guys purchase yours?
 
DP5 didn't have a perfect system either.
I believe the one box I opened at nats had 4 lvxs it was suppose to only have 3.

DP4 wasn't perfect either. Like I said earlier, one of my four boxes of DP4 only came with 2 lv.Xs.

I've only bought boxes from DP4 and DP6, but I like the DP4 boxes more. Guaranteed 3 lv.Xs (unless really unlucky like me), fantastic cards in the set like Claydol, Pachirisu, Phione, Gardevior/lv.X, Cresselia lv.X, Eeveelutions, Garchomp lv.X, rare candies, Call Energy. Just a FANTASTIC set to buy. DP6 isn't as exciting, but the trainers and rares and lv.Xs aren't bad at all. The foils are slightly disappointing.
 
Where did you find what is in that set. I went to Pokebeach, but i know it is wrong (Cressy is not listed). I need to know exactly what is in the box and where to buy 'em ( I think i know where they are, but i cant find a JPN box).

Normal prices can vary with different amounts for shipping and just different amounts for anything japanese. I paid $58 for each box, and I ordered from Paper Moon Japan. The shipping can be more with PMJ but if you buy enough, the shipping is worth it.
