Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Naranja: ANF- May discontinue...

Y'know, you've really improved quite a bit. It is a bit similar to the anime, but I don't really consider that a bad thing. It's neat that you're able to capture the feeling like that.

Thanks, LEX. That may be tied for the best comment I've seen on this. (See Cyber's last post)
I've told Ashinto, too, "What are the ways this is similar to the anime?"

olliver: I haven't seen Paul give up his 'buzz. When? And I don't think for a moment that Paul would
actually let his little brother, (Story's a twist of origins), take his 'buzz.

Thanks guys. Chapter 6 will be here today afternoon.

David out.

One could bet. LOLZ
As I said, may anyone tell me how this is sort of like the anime?

Thanks if you can answer.
EDIT: Can't find time to write this #6. Probably tomorrow.

Alright. I got a great idea. Remember how Tyler was running to get that Eevee? Shandon
will now get one of his own!

And now, what you've all been waiting for, Chapter 6!

Chapter 6:Route 239: DNA Runaway

Hhhhh-ssshhhh-hhhhh-ssshhh... Shandon ran through the grass, breathing harshly. He was
chasing a light-brown, shaggy-coated Eevee through the bushes.

"I've got you now! Gabite, Iron Head!" Shandon cornered the different-colored Eevee while Gabite
charged in with a silver coating.

=Boom!= Gabite ran straight into a rock as Eevee jumped straight up. Eevee landed on the grass
softly and turned around, winking at Shandon.

"Grr... Cyndaquil, Flare Blitz!" Cyndaquil raced after the runaway Eevee, covered in orange
mist. Both sidewinded around the grass and turned a sharp corner.

Shandon and Gabite cut through the bushes and looked into the open. Cyndaquil and Eevee
were wrestling each other, tumbling through the grass. Rolling about, they carelessly tore up sod
all over the field.

"Cyndaquil! Crush Claw!" Shandon called out while rushing towards them. Cyndaquil's right claw
extended sharply. It slashed repeatedly at Eevee, even while they rolled about.

Shandon then realized they couldn't roll across the field. Since he was the tallest of the bunch,
at 4'11", he was able to see some rocks that seemed to lead to a chasm.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Look out, guys!" Shandon hollered. Unfortunately, the two wrestling Pokemon couldn't hear him,
and they rolled straight over the rocks. It wasn't a chasm at all they were falling into. It was
a rush-water stream!

"No! Cyndaquil! Eevee!" Shandon leaped several feet over the river and caught the falling
Cyndaquil. He tossed the Fire Mouse onto the grass and dove in after the Eevee, who was farther
downstream.

"Gabite! Cyndaquil! Follow the river! I'll catch up to Eevee in the river, because it
might drown! I'm rescuing it! Come on!" Shandon called as he slipped into the rushing water.

Gabite and Cyndaquil raced along the riverside, hoping it would lead to the end of it.

Shandon, meanwhile, was swimming after Eevee, who was a few yards down the river. He dodged
past several rocks, falling branches, and other litterings. He could faintly see Eevee's outline
in the swirling current. Shandon burst his head over the water to get a breath of air.

"Gabite-Gab!" Gabite called to Cyndaquil and pointed to Shandon's head. Shandon unfortunately
dove back down before Cyndaquil could have a look.

Shandon had come several inches from the Eevee and desperately swung his arms harder to gain
more amperage. He dangled his hand outward and reached out for Eevee, trying to grab a part of
it.

Eevee hummed a muffled saying and swam up to the surface. Shandon did the same. They met
over the water, and Shandon rushed over and grabbed the Eevee by the scruff of its neck and
embraced it in his arms.

"Eevee, I've got you. You're okay." Shandon muttered those kind words to Eevee, who smiled
and brushed its head against him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The brief moment of warmth came to an end when Shandon yelped. He and Eevee were headed to
the end of the river, a waterfall!

Eevee tucked itself deeper into his coat jacket as they started to fall over. Shandon desperately
searched for a ledge, but to no avail. He panicked quite a bit as they flew down the waterfall.

"Gaaaabite!" Gabite screamed as Cyndaquil and it raced down the slope to the pond below.

At the bottom of the waterfall were some sharp rocks, which could easily kill Shandon and Eevee.

Suddenly Shandon had a plan. "Go, Steelix!" he shouted as he fell, throwing a PokeBall over the
grass. The PokeBall released Steelix on the turf as it roared.

"Steelix! Reach your head over the rocks and let us land on you!" Shandon screamed as they fell
faster down.

"STEEEEELIX!" Steelix roared as it reached over the rocks. Shandon and Eevee fell straight on
top of Steelix's head as it slowly returned them to shore.

Eevee wagged out the water on its coat and Shandon returned Steelix to its ball. Gabite and
Cyndaquil ran down to Shandon and cheered.

"Eeeeeevee!" The Eevee rubbed up against Shandon, showing its affection.

Shandon smiled. "Go, PokeBall!" He threw a ball that instantly caught Eevee inside.
"Yay! I've got an Eevee!" Shandon held up the ball.

"Cynda-Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil chirped.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally Chapter 6. A shiny Eevee! Yay! David out.

Go on ahead and post your questions here. I'll be happy to answer them
as I write. By the way, the Eevee evolves into a Draceon. Description below:

Normal:
Blue underbelly, light blue head, black eyes, a wyvern's tail, light blue body/legs

Shiny:
Purple underbelly, violet head, gray eyes, wyvern's tail, violet body/legs

i was saying that you might want to have paul give up his electabuzz because it let him down or something like that. be crative, :p look who's talking.

I think a brand new trainer catching a shiny at all, let alone a shiny of one of the most popular Pokemon, and then it evolving into a Pokemon you've made up, is far too unlikely. Be careful that your characters don't get too perfect this time.

Alright, thanks. It'll be an Eevee for quite awhile, because it only evolves at the summit of
Mt. Flame, which hosts the star, Heatran. Draceon's most useful attack will only be Dragon Pulse.
It's honestly just rare, but not that powerful all in all.

EDIT: I honestly can't find time to write this #7. But it will be up by Sunday. Guaranteed.
I just don't know of a good idea, and can't find time. But it's coming.

Okay, I finally got something. Finally.
And now, here is Chapter 7!

Chapter 7:Route 236

"Cyndaquil, that Eevee must really admire me for saving its life." Shandon and Cyndaquil strolled
slowly on the grass.

"Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil chirped happily, stumbling over some rocks.

They both walked a little farther before some voice shouted. "Croconaw! Skull Bash!" Shandon
crept up to the bushes and peaked out. In the clearing was Tyler, battling a trainer's Kirlia with his
Croconaw.

"Croc!" Croconaw roared as it bashed into the Kirlia's body. Kirlia flew against the ground,
skidding to its trainer, fainted. Tyler returned Croconaw to its ball before walking over to the young
trainer. Shandon stepped out of the bushes as Tyler gave the young one some words of advice.

After the boy left, Tyler turned to see Shandon looking at him. "Hey, Shandon. How's it going?
Did you catch the Steelix?" Tyler waved his hand.

"Yeah, it's going well. The Steelix is mine. I was going to ask for a battle. 2-Pokemon
apiece. Well?" Shandon replied.

"I've been waiting for you to say that. Let's go!" Tyler had anxiously awaited this moment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shandon and Tyler both lined up on the sides of the opening. Tyler clutched a PokeBall in his hand.
Cyndaquil stood firmly, arms crossed.

"Alright, Shandon. 2-on-2, no restrictions. First one to KO the other's Pokemon wins. Okay?"
Tyler asked. He smirked right after.

Shandon took out a PokeBall. "Fine with me. Come on!"

"Alright! Go, Graveler!" Tyler threw a spinning red and green ball that seemed to hover over the
grass. A boulder Pokemon with 4 rocky arms came down on the grass. The white light smothered
away, leaving a brown Graveler revealed.

"Gabite, come on out!" Shandon hurled Gabite's PokeBall up and the Land Shark appeared in a
flash of light.

"Gaaaaabite!" Gabite roared at Graveler and extended its talons. Graveler raised its arms up
high, grinning.

"Graveler, Rollout!" Tyler called as Graveler started rotating. Soon Graveler was rolling all over
the landscape, knocking down trees and bushes, and tearing up sod. Gabite strafed from side to
side, dodging the Boulder Pokemon's sped-up body.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gabite kept leaping around, and finally got a hold of Graveler. Gabite's talons dug on to it,
who's body came to an instant halt.

"Gabite! Toss it sky-high!" Shandon called. Gabite started to put Graveler down, and then hurled
it straight up. Graveler flew high up, then plummeted back down.

"Stealth Rock!" Tyler hollered as Graveler made stones levitate from the earth effortlessly.
"Jump on them to get a safe landing!" Graveler flipped onto one and jumped from one to the other,
picking the rocks up as it went.

"Use the stones for Rock Blast, Graveler!" Tyler shouted as Graveler made a landing on the grass.
It threw the stones like bullets at Gabite, who shielded itself by covering it with its arms. The
rocks pelted Gabite, though it resisted most of it.

"Gabite, Iron Head!" Gabite turned a silverish hue and rammed at Graveler. Tyler knew it would
KO Graveler, so he decided a painful decision.

"Graveler... Selfdestruct!" Tyler ordered, covering his face with his palm. Graveler lit up from the
inside and started rumbling.

"Gabite shield yourself!" Shandon called. But Graveler exploded at that moment, sending Gabite
flying into a tree. It fainted, out cold, and Shandon returned it to its ball. Tyler returned the
detonated Graveler, too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Alright. Just 1-on-1. Let's go, Croconaw!" Tyler sent out a crocodile-shaped Pokemon in a flash
of light.

The Croconaw snarled. "Croc!"

"Alright. So, Croconaw. Go, Steelix!" Shandon threw an Ultra Ball up high and the Iron Snake
Pokemon appeared in a flash.

"STEEEEEELIX!" Steelix roared, as it intimidated Croconaw. Though Croconaw was fearless in
its own way, that fearlessness proved useless against the Iron Snake.

"Croconaw! Waterfall!" Tyler called. Croconaw rose up in a wall of water and surfed down at
Steelix. Steelix froze its fangs frozen solid and chomped at the oncoming water. The water
froze instantly, stopping in its tracks, and Croconaw began sliding off the ice. It slid
around, struggling to get up and was headed right for Steelix's mouth.

Steelix's fangs burst with static as it lunged at the sliding Croconaw. It chomped down,
electrifying Croconaw in it.

"Croconaw! No!" Tyler hollered. Steelix took Croconaw off the ice and layed it down on the grass.
It fainted from the paralysis.

"Croconaw, return." Tyler returned the Croconaw to its ball and strolled to Shandon, who returned
Steelix.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Nice battle, Shandon. Now I see. You are truly superior." Tyler folded his arms.

Shandon smiled. "Thanks, Tyler. You're great, too."

"See you later." Tyler walked off into the bushes.

"Nice friend, huh, Cyndaquil?" Shandon looked down at the Fire Mouse.

"Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil chirped.
