Why not make a petition about it and see what kind of action they try to negotiate to finally make something happen instead of just losing hope on it... I think the Pokemon TCG should be open to ALL Pokemon. But it's not as if we can't go on in the TCG without Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam in the TCG. We've gone this long already as it is and I'm sure they realized this already.
 
Well you have to keep in mind that the theme of the sets are going to have somewhat of an affect on Pokemon that appear in the sets. For instance HGSS sets mainly featured pokemon that were found in those games. During the SP era we were receiving a lot of pokemon cards that were used by members of team galactic, the elite four, gym leaders etc... Now that B/W has just been released we have to deal with newer pokemon being printed as cards. I think we will see some older pokemon began to get phased back in with Black and White 3 though.

Also, keep in mind that it is very likely that they are going to remake Ruby/Sapphire so Generation 3 pokemon may be reappearing in a big way as well.

Overall I think they still do a pretty decent job at making sure each pokemon gets a good amount of attention.
 
I'd have to disagree with each Pokemon, but most... yeah. It's crazy to me that there are Kanto Pokemon that have received seven cards over the past fifteen years when the vast majority have over a dozen.

At the same time, though, they have to try to include cards from each type in every set, which means that we see far more repeat Pokemon if their types are Darkness, Metal, Fire or Lightning, since those are the ones that represent only a single game type. It's also why Magnemite and Magneton have some of the highest card totals of all... >_>
 
Pidgeot needs more non support role and playable cards. Maybe a super rare card would be nice
they seem to have forgot how to make 'good' Eeveelution cards since the EX series
Same as above with Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres
They need to make less loved Pokemon like say Fearow anad pokes of the like more powerful cards


What they really need to do is make sets based on a few Pokemon. Like make a colorless collection, fire etc and make them as 'side' sets. They won't be full set and would have like 80 cards tops but with Pokemon from that color and would only have your less printed Pokemon in it.
