first of all-- great report... it's a rarity when we see so much thought put into a report like this.

second-- what do you think about teching in an unseen forces poliwrath?
that way, it could help you against matchups like rock-lock, zre, and medicham.

other than that, looks good, i might give this deck a try!

Thnx. Umm, the UF Poliwrath could work. I'll test it out and LYK what happends. Thnx for the idea..

I also heard about that at my prerelease (thats why I was wondering)
It came from a couple of professors, so I think they know what they are talking about.

Hmmm, well that doesn't mean by any means that this deck won't work. All you have to do is play more great balls, and maybe some Holon mentor, or Lanet's net search. And as I said before in my thread, you can get away with it because your fossil's will stall for you as long as you need them to, and if your playing a heavy line of basic searching cards, you still shouldn't have a problem.

yah the pidge line is very use full in this deck also i think i would add boost for a quick punch and run.

I did think of boost, but after testing I discovered their really not nesisary. Because Fossils are tralling for you, you allmost never come into a situation were you need them. But I guess they could help against things like Pow!'s and Energy Removal's. I guess its really up to you.

You need to focus to add 2 candies to your deck, and I would throw pidgeot line away to add more drawing/searching.
You have GOT to be kidding me. Do you know what Pidgeot does?!
Pidgeot Fire Red Leaf Green 10 Colorless 100 Stage 2 L F 0 Rare Quick Search - Once during your turn (before you attack), you may choose any 1 card from your deck and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. You can't use more than 1 Quick Search Poke-Power each turn. This power can't be used if Pidgeot is affected by a Special Condition. (Poke-POWER) [2] Clutch (40) The Defending Pokemon can't retreat until the end of your opponent's next turn.
Taking out Pidgeot is about as smart as eating your own hand.

Slash in the sand, I think you should consider Articuno ex and possibly some retreivers and copycats.

Also, Curse Powders fro the fossils is a great Idea. Stick with 4 Claw fossil and if you need to, drop the mysterious or root.

Good luck.

Well I posted my "FLYING TURTLE" on November 11, 2004. Back then, Mysterious fossils were only worth 10. "FLYING TURTLE" Pidgeot/Wartortle SMASH TURN. Blaziken match up was tough because it could get at the bench.

http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12097

I revised the list after Battle Frontier, POW!, and Rock Lock made the decks not really viable. Who ever suggested Jumpluff is correct. The version that I revised it too was Jumpluff, that made the most sense. The key is the Supporter engine max refresh of cards. Professor OAK, Copy Cat, Admin do well, maybe with a few Bill's Maintence (Prefered over TVR here)

If I was going to put a current list down, Here it goes.

Pokemon (16)
3-3-2 Blastoise (Warturtle had the Smash Turn.)
3-3-2 Jumpluff
Trainers (30)
4 Claw
4 Root
3 Mysterious
10 Draw Supporters (4 Bill Maintence/2 Copy Cat/2 POR/2 Admin)
2 Celio
3 PETM
4 Stadium (2 BF 2 PowerRoot)
Water Energy (14)

The Blastoise would not often be played, it is really only a "Looming Threat". Having a Non-EX doing this 40 and running (Grumpig has same attack) makes more sense than exposing Blastoise to attack. Also Squirtle has a 20 damage smash turn for 2 energy.

It's a fun deck to run, and is definitely a challenge for the vast diversity of decks out there. But I abandoned the concept.

Interesting deck, but I'm having trouble figuring out what the strategy is.

Its right here what he said Wartortle hits then swich to Jumpluff if they try to ko Pluff they have to flip for it. Pluff also has a pretty goodattack for one colorless energy and it has a FREE Retreat. so do smash turn witch to Pluff. Next turn use the free retreat and do smash turn again. Rinse Repeat

Options if you have Warturtle powered. (3 Energy)
1. Smash Turn 40 and switch to a Fossil, if you have one.
2. Smash Turn 40 and switch to a Hoppip/Skiploom/Jumpluff (Not an auto KO).
3. Drop a Blastois EX, and Do 80 Damage to KO the active.
4. Use A Jumpluff to attack if they have lot's of energy on the board.

You only need 2 Blastois EX to Run this deck.
The Original Pidgeot deck worked GREAT before Battle Frontier came out. Battle Frontier is not being ran AS MUCH today, so a Pidgeot Engine "could" work.

One thing I do remember is that you really don't need all the fossils if you run Pidgeot. 4 Claw, 3 Root, and 1 Mysterious is what I had ran. It gives you more room, and your opponent will likely think you do have 12 of them in your deck.

Oh yeah, Warp Points work good in this deck, because if your opponent choose not to attack the Fossil, you can Warp, and attack again, and not waste a Fossil

Acid-Liability: This deck however has a completely different story compared with Typhlosion. In this case, you are the one with a Weakness problem. But thankfully they won't be able to hit you because of Punch and Run's effect. Just be careful when deciding to use Swallow up and you should come out with the win.

Well im not so sure about that. Alot of AL decks now are running either reversal or pow!'s or both. That will definitely hurt if the AL player is able to get that first Poli-ex up early game ;)

They won't even need to go that far, blazi-king....most I've seen are now running a tech LM victreebel...that sucker will just drag up your politoed with its power and smack you silly....or let the weezing do it.

Maybe so, but w/ the current deck list I'm using right now I'm able to do 120 3rd turn using a boost, they will have a hard time coming back from that. And if I come up against that deck I will know not to evolve into Politoed ex untill I have 2 Poliwirl powered up ready to KO and I can stall w/ fossils untill I'm ready. They will have 2 straight turns of 120, And there Victreebells don't do enough even w/ weakness to KO in one shot. I still think I would win, but I haven't tested it yet against the new Vic, so I'm not sure, but in theory it sounds right.

But they won't be able use pow! if I'm not winning, and reversal is a 50/50 chance( which not many people use) Fossil's can stall long enough to power up anything I need.
