One thing I thought of is that it would actually be a Sylveon card (presumably to be later printed in an upcoming XY set) since its pre-evolution already exists in the card game. It'd be like that moment in The Wizard where they have to play the then-unreleased Super Mario Bros. 3. Probably wouldn't happen, but it would be really cool.
 
Probably some stadium card called Hawk-Eye. Once during your turn you may flip a coin, if heads you may take a look at your opponents hand or something like that.

Yeah I know, terrible pun.
 
If my dream came true, the promo would be awesome but special to Vancouver, which has a lot of rich history. It could be called Gold Rush and the effect, as a stadium, could be something like replacing a prize card with a card from your hand (not sure if you would have to reveal anything first) because that way you'd be "mining" the prizes. It wouldn't be a super playable card, but that would keep the price from getting TOO ridiculous.

More in following with the TB theme, maybe not "frigid beach", but something like Marine Shore. That's kind of redundant but I like the "beach" theme.

Unfortunately, my gut feeling is that it's going to end up being Tropical Beach again.

I was just thinking this the other day. The promos in all the events leading up to Worlds have been Eeveelutions. Why not continue it, and make the first Sylveon card released at Worlds?
 
vancouver isn't 40% of canada. it is not in the arctic. just saying. it feels like 110 here today in ontario :(
 
Yesss!! Totem poles with Xatu? Guess I win the guessing game, and I'm pretty excited about the design! I'll need to get that Pikachu plush with a headdress... As for the promo card itself, nothing revealed for that yet, just the overall theme.

Someone on the Pokemon Facebook is calling it 'racist to Canadians', but I don't know how, as someone also from Canada.

I felt it was "racist" because they neglected to show our love for hockey. :frown:

But anyways I feel like this is a nice theme. Not what I expected or wanted but I could see where they were going with this. I definitely love the addition of Pokemon on the totem poles.
 
I love the artwork for this, and if it follows through on the mat / binder / deck box it's going to be nothing short of gorgeous.

Now to attempt to get one before the vendors buy them all out and sell them for triple on Ebay...
 
It would be hilarious if the promo card was "Once per turn a player can heal a status condition off his or her active pokemon." And it would be named like tropical hot spring, and I looked it up and it may not be unlikely because according to Wikipedia most of Canada's hot springs are in the far west and where is Vancouver? The far west. Canada suprisingly also has a lot of hot springs it would keep sight the theme of relaxing because tropical wind and beach were kinda relaxing names. Plus it would give players a good promo they could use at worlds that would enable a lot of decks to do well. And finally it not really be a 120 dollar card after that because of virizion and silver bangle taking out lasers and gothitelle moving out of format. I think this would be a good promo because it would balance gothitelle and give a better chance to those people who have gotten to worlds but don't neccesarily have beaches to play goth. But on the other side of the coin it would not kill goth because they could counter it with beach.
