I've seen a lot of topic like this and I just want to know why you all still support McCain even after he said he agrees with Bush 90% of the time. You do know if he wins, the US WILL go into a resession or depression.
Its like all of you are making is seem like Obama is the bad guy in this election. Saying everything McCain WILL do and everything Obama WILL NOT do.
If you are going to post something such as this, provide GOOD links to your information
I just want you to back up your assertion with "GOOD links to your information."
Tell us exactly why McCain's policies would lead to a depression.
I will tell you why I think Obama's policies will lead to depression:
in 1929, the stock market crashed and the United States experienced a
recession until 1932. In 1932, President Hoover imposed a hefty surcharge on those making $100k+ per year (Sound like a familiar tax policy???). By placing a heavy tax burden on capital, on those who are positioned to pull us out of a recession by creating jobs, Hoover actually dug the United States into a deeper hole, known today as the great depression.
Do you have any reason to make the assertion that you did, or are you just going to randomly throw that out there and hope that it sticks?
You all do know its not a good time to be a Republican?
I choose to be a Republican in all times, not just in the good times, because I have principles.
...and talk about both parties. Not what one person you are/would vote for are going to do and what the opposing are not going to do. Its like they are all bash Obama threads and vote for McCain.
We don't have a "Fairness" doctrine on this board.
Yeah both parties lie and have their own view on what should be what but, when its all said and done, who you you want in office, someone who WILL do what they say or someone because you 'felt' like you had to because of they way you were raised and don't say something like "I have to vote for McCain" because no one can pick for you. Just what are these thread trying to prove. We all know, by current polls and other sources that Obama will win and most of you Republican can't handle that or the fact that a well, black person will be the leader of the US. Just tell me, if McCain was winning, would we be seeing these 'support McCain' threads?
On a second note, I think that politic is also something we should not talk about here as well because of ...well you know, how it turns people.
So, because we disagree with Barrack Obama's policies, we are somehow a racist? I refuse to let ANYBODY dismiss my principles as racism because there happens to be a black person on the other ticket. That is race-baiting and it diminishes / dilutes the discussion on the topic of true racism, just like the story of "the boy who cried 'wolf'". I couldn't care less what race he is. I disagree with the man on issues.
Politics is something that we SHOULD talk about. It is healthy. Iron sharpens Iron. We are all better because of it. But please refrain from throwing around the race-card. That is DEFINITELY not healthy.
