Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Sad to say this about Super Smash Bros

What I meant was that you hold a tournament for every character, so that you have to master every character to win more tournaments.

That would be easy. I can play each character other then my mains somewhat good. It sounds like fun.

=RULES=

>No Items
>Fox only
>Final Destination

How can you say that. You seen the Final Smashes. If ONLY one person gets them, that person will win. Items are off so games don't become one-sided. If you can only play with items on then you need to get better because ANY competitive tournament you will play in for smash will have NO items one and fight on neutral stages.

Anyone here who is better then you will always be better then you but better when items and Smash Orbs are on. So there is no point to playing with them.
Saying that no compeditive tourny will have no items on is not justification as to why items should be turned off. Yes, some items are very strong, but they all have weakness and a "good" player should be able to explict those weakness on an item abuser. I've seen plenty of matches where the smash ball didn't win a player the match. "Good" players should be able to work with any situation. Items are not broken and turning them off isn't actually playing the game the way it was intended.

ANY competitive tournament where competitive players play will play with no items, 4 stock, 8 minuets and neutral stages. Yeah, good players can cope with items on and they can fight with items on but games become 1 sided when only one player picks up item on when you die at 50 percent because a bomb came out in front of you when you kicked. Items have no weaknesses and if you can only play with items on then you need to get better. Yeah if your playing with friends you can play with items and any stage to make the game fun but in any competitive tournament these are the rules:

- No Items
- 4 Stock
- 8 minuets (tournament only)
- neutral stages

and any competitive smash player will tell you that and agree with it. So saying were are not good because we play with no items on is just crazy. If I played you with Items on, I would most likely 3 stock you with 4 stock on. Items are broken and Smash Orbs are more broken. So yeah, we can work in any situation but its more balanced to play with those rules, trust me.

anyone notice that peach is EXTREMELY broken. if u just keep picking out vegetables and throwing them at the person is sooooooo broken. i played my bro with one of his best characters and he got PWNED i literally in like 30 seconds could get him up to 135% and KO him easily.

Peach is good but not broken. I know because I play her really good. Now if it were Melee, then you could say that. She does get damage in fast but throwing those vegetables are just as fast as Yoshi throws his egg, so they are not that great but can be good. I just do it to pick out a Bomb, Stitch Face, or Beam Sword.

Don't forget that it will also be:

>No Items

>Final Destination

Again, your not brining up reasons, just saying that the current way is the best way because its easier to deal with. I fail to see how games become one sided when items are available to both players and the bomb issue can happen to either player at any time. I don't see how playing with items on all the time means I'm bad or anything. Thats complete idiotic to not play the game the way it was designed to be played (with the option of playing with items). If both players want to have a "fun" match (if your not having fun with the game when you play compeditive, then you need to stop playing) with items, then I don't see why a tournament should say "NO" with no justification.

I never called anybody bad. I'm saying your not playing real brawl/melee. You also assume alot. lol. I don't see how adding some flavor makes the game unbalanced. It makes the game a real game, and not some generic fighting game.

If you want to play the game for fun then by all means go ahead but, like I said, ANY competitive tournament you play for smash will play with those rules to balance the game. Items are broken in the competitive play field. The way the game is now is best for it. People want to see the player skill at fighting and not at using items. If you want to play using items, then go for it, you won't be consider as good of a player with items on as having them off. Its just like someone using Ubers in Pokemon. People ban Uber, some attacks and items in the Pokemon games. Still they are not playing the game the way it was meant to be played but in the competitive play field, people make rules to make it better and less random. In Pokemon, they are just fan made rules and don't mean much but, in ANY smash game, people who run the tournaments make the rules and competitive players follow them.

What I mean about one sidedness is one player get the star, heart, hammers and smash orbs. No one in the competitive play field wants to play like that. So if you play for fun, go for it. Us competitive players play with those rules. Yeah we can play with items and the randomness of the items and stages. Its just too much to watch out for while avoiding bombs that drop in and fending off our opponent.

Again, not stating why they should play by those rules. People want to see the player skill at fighting? But using items doesn't take any skills? Some items are stronger and I guess it would be an evolution process, such as with the fan, beam sword, etc, just to get the process going. I knew that you would bring up ubers. They are powerful, but again, they have flaws that a good player should be able to expolit. Will that lead to an abuse of them? I assume it would. But isn't that the case in brawl right now? It sure sounds like it. I don't see how one organization of "officials" is a fan based organization but another is some offical group that has direct authority of something.

Why not? It makes it so a player who has an auto-lose to another player can still win the matchup. If anything, items allow for less one-sided matches and more even games BY adding randomness. Luck is a factor into pretty much every game (things like chess are exceptions), so denying it only creates one-sideness.

I know. Luck is part of the game. I 100 percent agree with it. The game should be played they was it should be, Pokemon or Smash but you have a group of people who likes to ruin everyones fun. Just like for me with Pokemon, I was used to playing with Latias and Latios and though they are not Ubers by Nintendo and Game Freaks Battle Tower standard I use them but when you have people following a sites fan rules like they're law, it makes it hard for me to get a match and I'm still a competitive Pokemon player. The same can be said for smash. I just have been playing with those rules for such a long time it second nature really. Again, I'm not forcing any rules on you, that is just how people play. If you play me I can play with your rules because I'm a open player. Its just competitive players want for the fight to be as balanced as possible even if the match is one sided in one players side.

In any competitive tournament you will be playing with those rules and there is nothing you or anyone can do to change them.

^What would nintendo do.

What my point is is that we CAN change the rules. For instance, I feel that if both players in a match want to play with items on, they should be allowed to (as long as they agree to which items) and a tournament shouldn't be allowed to say "NO! We said you have to do X and our fan-law says you have to because we made it up and not you so bleh". I'm glad to hear that you are an open minded person on this topic and I hope compeditive tournies at least look at my notion and possibly practice it eventually.

Really snooty statements thar buddy.

Final smashes are not end all be all...at all.

Also, don't assume I can ONLY play with items. I just don't have any fun without them.

Final Smashes are one-sided. Sure they are fun to play with but, its no fun when only one person gets them or trying to dodge a tank for the whole match. People play without items for a reason and that is that. Most items are broken and too unpredictable.

I think that if all the people in one battle want to do it differently they should be able to, as long as it does not take extra time.
