Just wondering, how many Tropius/Stantler do you recommend running? I want to test them out but I'm sure not sure how many to include. I'm slightly leaning towards Tropius since I run 4 Collector so Stantler won't be needed much where as Tropius can search for the basics if I don't start with Collector or if I do, then search out evolutions e.g Sunflora or Serperior.
I was thinking 3? How many have you guys found to be the best number?

I would just Replace to Tombs with Tropius then. i also, with further testing, found Tropius Better than Stantler. I really love this deck. If nothing cant OHKO Serperior = 0 damage. And i have acatully never lost to a Reshiram deck. But ofc, if my caterpie and/or Metapod gets prized its not that fun anymore. I wish All of you guys luck with your builds, and i will keep you updated with my testing :)

If any1 wants to see my list: The Royal Slimeball

Alright, I decided to give Tropius UL a try.

-1 Switch
-2 Judge

+3 Tropius UL

4-3-3/1 Serperior (3 Royal Heal)
2-2-2 Reuniclus
2-2 Sunflora HGSS
1-1 Metapod HGSS
3 Tropius UL

T/S/S

2 PONT
4 Rare Candy
3 Pokemon Communication
3 Professor Elm's Training Method
3 Pokemon Collector
3 Switch
2 Flower Shop Lady
2 Interviewer's Questions

Energy

10 Basic Grass
2 Rescue Energy

If you are going to run Tropius, u need to play 4 Collectors. And also in HGSS-on 4 Communications is also a must. Juniper is too good not to play:

- 1 Flower shop lady
- 2 Interviewers
- 2 PONT

+1 Communication
+1 Collector
+2 Juniper
+1 Rescue

I play fast trainer lines in mine:
4 Juniper
3 Elms
1 Copycat
2 PONT
4 Comm
4 Collector
3 Rare Candy
2 Twins
and some other stuff.

I'll test out Tropius, but what seems to slow me down is getting Reuniclus out. Sunflora gets me any grass but I struggle to get Reuniclus out. Thats why I play max Comm and 3 Elms. Still not working as fast as I'd like and you still get bad draws even early.

This. I am able to get out any grass type by at most T3, but I have problems getting Reuniclus out as well. It was a lot easier when I still had Spiritomb because all I had to do was use a Collector or whatever to get a Solosis and just use Darkness Grace. The rotation messed everything up for me. For a while though, I was wondering if Reuniclus is really necessary in this deck simply because he takes up space, is slow coming out onto the bench, is bait for Garchomp with his pathetic HP, and the fact that I can heal well enough without him. His only redeeming factor to me is his ability, but even that is not necessary for this deck. It certainly helps with tanking though. I really do like your Trainer lines, though. I should fix mine.

Not saying you have to use speedy trainer lines like mine. Just thought I'd throw out there.
I'm currently testing a 1-0-1 Vileplume tech to get around 2 cards which can get around the deck easily: Plus Power and Catcher (when released). By Blocking those, Reshiram/Zekrom can't touch you (as long as you have 'pod out too).
The only decks I can see beating it automatically with no techs (HGSS-on) are BlastGatr which I fear will get popular and DonChamp because Machamp can do 150 with Champ Buster.
However, unlike these decks, Serperior/Reuniclus has a lot of support thanks to Sunflora. You'd probably just have to keep smacking away as fast as you can because once they're set up, it's game.

The Vileplume tech is a good idea, but you run the risk of blocking yourself from Trainers. And I need all of my Trainers if I am to set up correctly.

Fixed up my Trainer lines a bit. Hopefully it will run a bit faster now. Here's the changes:

-1 Rare Candy
-2 Interviewer's Questions
-3 Switch

+1 Collector
+1 Communication
+2 Junipers
+2 Twins

I think I prefer Smeargle to Tropius when it comes to setting up. So:

-3 Tropius
-1 Professor Elm

+4 Smeargle

4-3-3/1 Serperior (3 Royal Heal)
2-2-2 Reuniclus
2-2 Sunflora HGSS
1-1 Metapod HGSS
4 Smeargle

T/S/S

2 PONT
3 Rare Candy
4 Pokemon Communication
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
4 Pokemon Collector
2 Flower Shop Lady
2 Twins
2 Juniper

Energy

10 Basic Grass
2 Rescue Energy

An idea came up about a few other cards.

There names are Espeon and Cherrim (Sunny Heal). One moves the damage from your side to the other side and Cherrim to help heal off 1 Damage as well.

Just some thoughts I'd like to get some help thinking about. I do still like the idea of having Metapod, though.

I like those ideas a lot, but adding Espeon would obviously require me to add Eevees and Psychic energy, essentially slowing me down further. Cherrim would be a nice tech if it was not completely outshined be the Leaf Storm Serperior. This deck does not need any more healing than it already has.

Honestly testing this deck out, I've found that the deck just lacks damage output compared to the rest of the metagame, like Zekrom, Reshiboar etc. I don't really see the deck working, which is a shame because it looked like it could have been awesome.

This deck can work and we will make it happen.
This deck does not shine when it comes to damage output. Where it shines is it's ability to stay alive.
Because Serperior can stay alive almost forever, Serperior can Leaf Storm it's way through an entire field once set up. It's the strategy, not just damage output.
Luxray Gl X only did 60, just like Serperior, but did it fail? No. It's because of it's disruptive capabilities that made it so good. It's the same with Serperior except it isn't disruptive. It's invincible...

Luxray GL LvX had one of the best Poke-powers in the format..taking cheap prizes, which this can't do.

Serperior can do 60 only to whatever they choose to send out for 2 energies, where Luxray could do 60 to anything with a possible 1 energy.

Serperior isn't invincible by any stretch of the imagination, Even with Cinccino I could destroy the deck because of how it didn't have the ability to knock me out in 1 hit, and I could knock it out in 1 hit, while send out a swarm of them.

Catcher is always just around the corner...
Just because a deck can't do loads of damage does not make it bad.
If Serperior only does 60, does that make LostGar absolutely unplayable because it does 0 damage?
Nope, LostGar has a strategy and so does Serperior.

Lostgar doesn't need to do damage to win, Serperior does.

Pokemon Catcher also make reuniclus unplayable.

I use a 1-0-1 Vileplume tech to stop PlusPower and Catcher and it works fine, especially because it has grass support and can be healed with Leaf Storm.
The deck doesn't need to do over 9000 damage. It can survive long enough to KO things.
Serperior will eventually build up damage and 60 isn't that bad anyway.
