I have a question real quick:
1. Were the UK Nationals an open tournament, or restricted to just UK Players?

2. Was there any tournament where you could win a trip that was not the nationals (where anyone could win, such as Gym or Stadium Challenge) ?

3. Are those big tournaments in London or where are they at?

JLYK: Me and a friend might consider coming to a bigger tournament to UK, just for the heck of it! =)

a little off topic but sure, ill answer best as i can!!

1. uk nats was invite only for Uk/irish citizens (had to live there for a certain amount of time i think...)
2. there were no regional style tournaments in the uk where u cud win invites or trips to worlds, but there was the stadium challenge in austria which i think gave invites, but maybe not trips. (bot sure on that one...)
3. the biggest tournaments are usually in the london area. the biggest tournaments beside nationals would be a south east challenge featuring the lucky dip (plug for 'pro!!!) and LONDON STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. there were a LOT of players there this year in april-->some czech players actually flew over and metagross won it! as you would imagine, the biggest tournaments are in our capital (the british way i guess!) but not to discredit other areas that run states and tournaments- bournemouth (south coast), norwich (north east of london) exeter i think (south west), edinburgh (scotland) and many others... (slough, chester...)

hope thats of help. please other high up UK dudeys like 'pro, nopoke etc fill in more details, but thats my answers

Ahem...the main tournaments currently only take place in Falkirk. I don't mean to discredit my own town, but we've only just got a TO, we'll be a while before we hold really big tourneys. Till then, go Falkirk!

Well thanks anyway, now I know more about coming over maybe with my friend!!!
I knew about the Stadium in Austria, but maybe you guys had one, too!

But thank you very much, and maybe i'll come over next year =)

no stadium in the UK last year.

And nationals was closed! even to those from abroard who had qualified at UK London State Championship :(

I doubt if the UK will have an open Nationals next year unless instructed to do so by POP
