So, I was Ebaying off some Pokemon cards when I noticed...

I could be wrong, but he may mean that they scanned the card to fake it. that's why it's pretty similar.

What are you talking about, I beg you to read what that person wrote and then what I wrote. He was implying that the person photoshoped the scan, when that was just not the case.

Yeah, maybe a fake card but definitely not a fake scan...

If OP was out to get attention, he wouldn't admit that the card looks fake in real life after looking for the middle layer... he'd continue to play it up as seeming legit... definitely not a liar :nonono:

wow i cant beleive it its awsome but after looking at the comparasins it looks darker so its probably a fake i have good eyes approved from the doctor and eyesight doctor i can litterely see in the dark and anyway it looks a tad bit dark and suspicious and fake
Well you can't really judge by that since different scanner models make the same thing look different. I have two scanners and one makes darker images than the other one so you can't really judge off of that alone.

I think the 1st edition symbol being like that is a printing error.

But its a printing error from someone who is creating fakes.

This is clear proof of how well they are creating fakes though as I think the ones doing it (it might just be 1 guy for all I know) are the same ones creating fake 1st edition base cards like Charizard which I think gets put on ebay a good bit, after recently linking 2 auctions of Charizards I thought were fakes, those auctions in no time vanished off the site.

I think the Raichu is a fake, the colorization is too dark and the text is not the same as originals, its very clear cut IMO. The Energy symbol the bolt is too thin also.

I also have reason to believe the placement of the 1st edition stamp is an indication someone is using a printing machine like the one WOTC has or any card manufacturer.

I will throw out the possibility someone from a card printing company is faking them on their free time to, some of them have not gotten the card stock right, some will get it close enough. I think this fake is pretty good, but i also think I have seen better fakes.

This is not the only instance where this has happened.

Here is an example of a Tentacruel that was on ebay over the summer. The 1st edition stamp is in the same exact spot as the raichu.

Possible

seems like I have seen some misplaced printing like that before in the past, but the Tentacruel looks real, that Raichu though just seems rather odd.

If you're going to post on a three year old thread, at the very least, note that it is a three year old thread.
But Gym rules are to not post on dead threads, which this qualifies as.

And this is why we don't allow bringing up old threads.
This has all already been covered and it was confirmed as a fake.
