Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So, you can't wait for the new league season to start?

No. League supplies are for League only. Not to be used as tournament prizes or given out. They are to earned at League. Extra POP packs were part of the League kit and could be given out as the LL saw fit, I am not aware of any extra promo cards.

ralis a League receives supplied based upon attendance at that League. It is possible that 31 people attend League and because of this 4 kits were sent so that would be 9 extra. These should be held for the new Leaguers that join, not for the personal use of the LL.

I agree with you, however I would like to add one little bit: Dan and Mike encouraged LLs/LOs to participate in their league to earn these cards. So they ARE obtainable, and there are reasons a person could have them. There is no excuse for any LL/LO selling them.

would like to bring these ebay auctions to the attention of you BIGGIE since you are watching this thread. looks like some are abusing their privileges with league kits.

Brad and I have been on top of all sellers since yesterday morning, but thanks for keeping a weather eye out for me. :thumb:

I am aware that there are legit ways to have the cards, and I'm not out to get anyone but we will be shutting down leagues that abuse prize support.

Also we will be updating our league process soon, requiring additional information from potential venues. Don't be surprised if in the next few weeks a seemingly well filled out request is denied as we ask for additional information. Just remember, if a league is denied with a request for more info, we do actually encourage you to reapply with that additional information on the next application.

I disagree with the 'good point' argument.

Claydol has been legal for 3 formats, and Uxie for 2 formats (counting this format). This is normal (above normal for Claydol) age for cards, as most cards are legal for 2 consecutive formats.

The cards are being redistributed NOT to give the cards an extra 2 years of legality, but to give the players an extra opportunity to get staples that mostly every deck needs.

I will GLADLY take your Uxies/Claydols/Bebes/Roseannes off your hands and GLADLY play those cards for the year I have available to play with them.

TPCi has been running the game since 2003. In those 6 years, there hasn't been a single card reprinted outside from it's original set so that it would be legal for another few formats. Why do players expect them now to make Claydol/Uxie as promos and extend their life into a format that they shouldn't naturally be a part of?

Remember that TPC makes the sets, and has the same format (and probably will continue to have the same format next year) with us. They know that the game will be at a loss because of Claydol and Uxie rotating out. Have faith in them. They may not make a pokemon just like Claydol or Uxie, but I am confident we will see another pokemon in the same league as them. We had Holon's Castform and the Holon Engine before Claydol and Uxie, right? We had Pidgeot and Magcargo even before them, did we not?

No need for doom and gloom. The game will grow, evolve, and I will enjoy every second of it.

well, to be able to tell, find out when the auction was posted, and when the season started (yesterday btw)

simple.

also, seems like a legit price. id be happy to pay $12 for a shiny uxie. :D

...is that a problem? It makes them MUCH more accessible to everyone, which means better competition at tournaments and league!

I fail to see any negativity in these league cycle freebies.

Cant agree more, I complain alot but this is absolutly reasonable. IMO thy also would get into some trouble with japan if they'd let these cards stay legal.

Forgot to go to League today, he probably doesnt have them right now anyway but still, I might have missed out a big chance >_<"

The holos are nice, but I absolutely HATE the new point card structure. Essentially forcing players to play the video games to get the maximum amount of promo cards possible? What's the deal with that? Also, not giving any rewards for the winning player over the losing player? The promo cards are nice, but in my opinion, the stamp cards are a HUGE step backwards, speaking from the standpoint of someone who only plays the tcg in a league where 95% of the players only play the tcg.

you don't have to play the VG to get the max 4 of each season's promo. in fact you can't get more than 4 of each, which you can do by completing ONE of the grids, not *both*.

So wait... should i say who is taking a LOT more then they need? Cause i just don't think that that is right.

The New Stamp Cards are actually separated for the VGC and TCG on purpose. The TCG side has the 4 white PokeBalls so at each one you are to receive a Snorlax and Uxie allowing each TCG player to earn 4 of each of the new promos. The VGC side has 4 white PokeBalls so that hey may earn the new Skins for the DS. Fill 2 cards for the VGC and earn the skin.

They are supposed to be completely different and separate! If they are not being done as such, you might want to ask the Leader about it :thumb:

Actually by filling out one full side for two seasons in a row a player can get four of each card for those seasons and the skin no matter what kind of game is being played. :)
