Soviet Engine

Okay first off, I've been testing this in Scepterra (As I said earlier), and trying to pit it against the worst thing I could possibly see at States: My brothers Empoleon/Magmortar Snipe deck. Obviously this is the most horrible thing that could happen to Scepterra, so its a pretty good test. It runs about 45/55 in Magmortar's favor, but still not too shabby since its fire vs straight grass deck. Although Illumese/Volbeat works beautifully with Porygon2, they are often the victims of snipes by both Mag and Empo. When I was running Scepterra w/out the soviet engine the ratio was more like 15 to 20/85 to 80 so the speed is really nice. Since more people run Honchcrow/Gardylade around me, all I really have to worry about is Mag or Typhlosion. Problem is to put a counter-fire card in you would need to take stuff out. I was considering Meganium MT with fire-counter attack, but it obviously lacks Torterra's power...

Anyway, I ramble, great engine thanks for throwin' it out there.

P.s. Mr. Chuck Norris should go stick his bad attitude where the sun don't shine :nonono:

I am well learned in history. I know exactly what the USSR did to people. America isn't going to be drawn into sainthood, either though

Never said it was, and I'm glad you know. Far to many people know but don't understand the numbers

Anyway, I could have easily chosen China or another communist country to be making fun of, but I chose a stae that is no longer communist, and for good reason. Also, the team isn't communust, communism stinks. The name is a misnomer. It is exactly the opposite of what we stand for (in the game, I guess, Pokemons is serious business right?)

Glad you cleared that up, thanks. Communism/socialism/countries associated with the two is just a touchy subject for me, sorry if I seemed harsh.

Lastly, the Scott is not that hard to get. It's a trade off. You trade the initial speed for the overall effect, as Porygon 2 is beter at getting exactly what you need.

Also, I am severely disappointed that you attacked me like this. Things like this should be kept at a private level.

You only play 3 scotts, why not up it to 4? Even with 4 holon mentor and 4 holon transciever AND jirachi DX, i found that I could almost never get a mentor T1. Maybe it was just my luck, far less then normal =(

It wasn't an attack, just a seemingly harsh post asking for explanation, sry =(

That isn't very hard to do. Have you noticed that the two most popular decks right now are all about that? Gardellade gets Furret out and searches potentially for Supporters and Magmortar rushes Delcatty early on and draws for Supporters. And the Soviet Union wasn't slow. They were the first nation to put a satellite into space before America could.
Yes, gardellade(those that use furret) only need to get the stage 1 to get the supporters.
Mag uses a stage 1 for draw, which can get supporters
This has to have porygon2 AND the scott for it to work efficiently, or more efficiently then mag/gard.

They got a shuttle.
We got a man on the moon by the end of the decade.

Thank you.

But what has to be realized too is that this system is more precise.

Oh, and from what I've seen, four scott is just over kill.

Last night, I tested this engine out. It works rather well. Once you get a Porygon 2 and a Scotts, you're in business. Getting Porygon 2 out quickly enough was the only issue that I had. This is true of any Stage 1 using engine (i.e. Furret, Delcatty). I used 3 Castaways so getting a Scotts wasn't an issue.

Once setup, I could easily see decking yourself, so you have to be careful with that if you aren't running a lot of Night Maintences. I was flying through cards.

Of course this engine isn't good for all decks, however it's really good for some.

Thanks again for sharing, The Supes

I have also been testing this enegine and if you can get a Turn 2 Porygon 2 and scott it's crazy fast. I'm playing it with 4-4-4 Porygon Z, 4 Pachirisu and 2-2 Illumise/Volbeat. I really don't see this engine doing nearly as well without Volbeat/Illumise, they just make it much more consistant. I was testing against Fire TRUK and even though I couldn't beat Fire TRUK it was mostly because of multiple three tails on Tri Attack.-_-

So instead of claydol you run porygon 2 with 3 scotts? Seems like a eh waste of room. On the list you posted you run only 3 "draw" cards. I don't see how this is better then claydol at all.
