Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Special Worlds Side Event: The EX-On Challenge!

I'd take either honestly. What gets to me is the extremely LOW amount of spots for this tournament. I'd honestly make this bigger because everyone I've talked to in the last couple hours won't shut up about how amazing this idea is. I really feel sorry for the juniors and seniors because very few of them are going to have the memory to cover the last 5 years of pokemon, by that time they've aged up to masters. Especially the juniors, since even for the oldest member in this age group, some cards were released when they were FIVE, lol.

Just out of curiosity, but on another board we're trying to figure out if there's any specific motivation for this.

Variety in side events at Worlds? Testing a new format? Something else that can (or cannot ) be revealed?

This is an experiment on this format. I've got a chance to run this and see the participation and feedback we get. While the actual POP team is running worlds I'll run this side event for info gathering. There are no guarantees, but based on response we'll look into what possibilities exist in the future.

2. The current plan is 32 masters and 32 JR/SR in age modified swiss. (this will increase if there is big demand)

Yeah, I think this is going to be very popular. I have been suggesting an extended format for Pokemon for a few years now. I think there are more than enough sets to make this possible. Having just one format for Premier Events all season has gotten so old. I would love to see something like this at major events. The possibilities are endless.

Wow, If I didnt have ambitions to always volunteer, I would enjoy playing.

Exo, since I usually Volunteer, and I plan to do so if I fail at the LCQ, I would be more than happy to help you out with staffing if you need any people to help you out.

If not, and I dont get a volunteer position, then Im definitely playing in the Masters division.

I'm in complete support of this. If I should not make it into Worlds, I'm definitely playing in this. Masters

the only downfall to this is that some people(alot of people) traded/sold their old EX cards to GG the past few years at nationals

This event seems really cool as I stated before. I think that while you may not do it, that it would be a good idea to have a top cut with best-of-3 matches. :thumb:
