Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ssbb: Likes and Dislikes

A) they cant handle MK
B) they cant handle snakes grenade game
C)Falco spaces them
D) they cant handle MK

Also when you see MK having his own tier and they dont ban him for MLG... its clearly a broken game. Go play Bbrawl, Brawl+, project M (when its released), or even Brawl -.

It isn't like that is an official tier list or anything, it's just the one that most players follow.

The game isn't broken in any way. Sure, MK is good and all, but it isn't like he is impossible to beat.

He practically unstoppable in the hands of one with common sense. The only ones who can remotely keep there own are Snake, Falco, Diddy, Ice climbers(if they can grab him). The game is broken. Giving one character amazing speed, priority, damage dealing, and kill power, all things MK possesses, broke the game. A character with melee speed has no place in a defensive game like brawl. Metaknight, in most peoples opinions is the best character in the game. Some people say that he is the best character in the game, but not by a lot. Other people say that he is broken and should be banned. Then there are people like me who don't really understand Metaknight and therefore cannot be on either side of the argument. To me, Metaknight is a vary weird character. In my opinion there is a line which a character must cross in order to be banned. What Metaknight does, is he stands on this line, but he never crosses it.

I often hear players like M2K and some of my friends talk about how they wish that the tornado could suck characters up and do more damage or how they wish that MK had an up B break ;then I tell them that those are some great ideas. If Metaknight had all those broken moves, then he could have been years ago. As of right now though, Metaknight is here to stay and we can do one of two things. We can either learn the matchup or quit.

Below, I am going to write down all of the weaknesses that Metaknight has. Maybe you guys already know most of them or you guys may know something that I don't know. If you guys think of more things, post them up.

1. Metaknight is known for having a lot of great OOS options. But those options don't change much if he power shields a characters attack. A lot of characters get better attack options when they power shield their opponent's attack. But MK is stuck with his same old options. This means that If a diddy kong(example) main played an MK main and they power shielded the same amount of times, then the diddy kong main would have gained more from the power shielding then the MK. I think that as people start to power shield a lot more, MK is going to start having a harder time than other characters because of this reason.

2. If your character has a projectile, try your best not to approach him even if he has the lead. Camp the MK for as long as you can and wait for an opening. The way I see it, you're going to get punished for approaching MK and in your frustration, you're going to take even more damage which will eventually lead to a stock loss. Just stay calm and forget the time limit. If the MK does happen to time you out, I'm sure that at least you'll change one person's mind about banning MK(More if you're on live stream). you can guys can argue with me on this one but I have never seen a character without a projectile, an Item in his hand or a disjointed hitbox hit a Metaknight's shield and get away with it even 50% of the time. This could even help us to convince everyone to use TKD's ruleset.

3.I have noticed that when most people get Dair camped, they start to shield even if the Dair doesn't touch their shield. This means that by the time the MK is ready to go for the tornado, most player's shields are too small to protect them and they either get shield poked or they get their shields broken. What you should do instead is just walk away. Most character's walking speed is faster than MK's air speed and this means that if MK tries to follow you while he is Dair camping, he will never catch up to you.

This is all I have for now but I will add much more later

What about that he has no bad matchups, and his special moves go throw every projectile in the game? And the only person who comes remotely close to M2k on a consistent basis is Ally. And we all know how much harder Snake mastery is than MK

MK isnt overpowered at all.

i main diddy, and all it takes is smart bannanas to overpower/outsmart a MK main.

MK is a good character, one of the top 3 IMO, but nowhere near #1.
He is easy to use, and people complain about it.

if you cant beat them, join them, if you dont want to join them.... Quit?

Im sticking with diddy, because an annoyed opponent is a unprepaired opponent.

Mewtwo>Lucario

i mean come on...why did they replace Mewtwo, a legendary clone awesome psychic pokemon, with Lucario??

WHEN IS SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG GOING TO JOIN THE GAME?????

Diddy is overrated in so many ways. He is a good character, but once you learn how to use the bananas for yourself, they actually help other characters a whole lot. Most people are nowhere near as technical as the diddy opponents they play agaisnt, and do not know their own banana combos which puts them at a disadvantage.

Bananas are mostly useful to create openings, and this is where diddy really shines because of his bananas he gets to enter the defense of even the best characters. On the other hand, he does not possess many strong follow-ups which the openings would allow him to use in otherwise unsafe situation. Characters with strong follow-ups are the one that benefit the most from the bananas, for example fox, gets a 20% combo off every single banana throw(banana>run up smash) and a garanteed kill setup which is easy to land. Bananas are also useful for racking up damage, but since some of these characters already rack up damage fast but only have trouble landing kill moves, the bananas actually helps them more than it hinders them.

Furthermore, Diddy has no strong kill moves until ridiculous %, while he gets gimped terribly easily by pretty much any multi-hit move or weak hit. Once you take that into account and how the bananas can be used to setup your own less reliable but strong kill moves, Diddy becomes much easier to play against.

You know, when a character doesn't have strong hits until ridiculous %, I like to call those kinds of characters "influencers." They usually have moves that can push you around and in a certain direction, or control your opponents moves to some degree!
I have to agree with Chompy that the bananas can actually help you, but that takes skill to some degree.

But all kidding aside, Olimar is going to be the next hyped character because of Brood placing 2nd at the APEX 2010 tournament last weekend. Olimar has a lot going for him, he's got range, easy to play with, grabs, excellent camping skills, smash attacks, whistle blower for super armor (if timed right), the only weakness Olimar has is getting back on the stage. Keep in mind to save your second jump for when you need to get back on the stage for further distance, I learned that just by playing Ivysaur myself!

In my opinion regarding to tier lists, they don't matter to me because the outcome of the matches depend on who's the better player. Like you can have the best player the world play Ganondorf vs the worst player in the world playing Metaknight and that Metaknight player would get 3-stocked because everything is based all on skills. Speaking of Metaknight, I think he should get banned because of it's multiple jumps, priority (especially the tornado), Shuttle loop kills at 80% on any character off the stage as an edge-guarder, D smash is quick and powerful, forward/down tilts come out fairly quick, retreating Fairs, multiple down air jumps, gimps any character off the stage such as down air, multiple up airs and tornado to finish the character off on the ceiling part. The only thing that puts a damper on Metaknight is his weight, which is not a big deal, since Metaknight moves quick and is a small character. To make matters even worse, Metaknight has the ability to plank off the stage all day until the timer runs out. Although, new tournament rules did say that you can only grab the ledge 50 times and if you go over that limit (even if you do win), you lose the match.

Yes, "Planking" or ledge camping/stalling is, apparently, now banned. So there is a counter for ledgegrabs.
