it would be cool to have xel naga as a race, but that would take way too much effort to balance, as in wc3.

How are they gonna continue the storyline without Xel Naga??

what Kerigan was sensing HAD to be them...It couldn't have been a giant monkey fart! (knowing Blizzard...it will probably WILL be a giant monkey fart *cough* WoW *cough*)
 
I actually picked up Starcraft on the cheap not too long ago. It's an okay game, though I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I'll wait until I actually get through the game as a whole and gain some semblance of skill before I make any hard judgements.
 
the new protoss units are very impressive but we havent seenthenew Terran and Zerg ones so it will proably all be balanced out.
 
This Starcraft will only feature the 3 main races with no heroes. I can't wait for it to come out since i lost my cd key to my starcraft so i cant play it.
 
It has to do with there NOT being a sequal for 9 years, even though Starcraft was the second best-selling PC game EVER.

I meant all the "Starcraft is one of the all-time gaming greats!" hype.

But, you have to remember: number of coppies sold corrolates directly to NUMBER OF COPPIES SOLD.



Any game that sells 9,000,000 coppies without a sequal for 10 years DESERVES to be hyped up.

I'd say the hype's already taken effect by the time something's sold nine million. Anything after that is simply a "whoa, look at that!"
 
Whatever they do to this game, I'm certain it'll be awesome. The first game was pretty much a standard by which all RTS games are judged. Even Warcraft had to be judged against it's older cousin. If the second even comes *close* to matching the balance and thought that went into the first, then we could have the greatest RTS of all time on our hands right here...
 
you should be hyped...
this game didnt exactly redefine the genre, but it was pretty much a compilation of everything great the genre had to offer. **** warcraft, age of empires or any other RTS, Starcraft is the best hands down. Each race is completely different (z3rg rush omgz!!!!!!!!!!) and...idk its just really well balanced to this day... and it has the most devoted online community....ever. The game is still pretty much as strong as it has ever been thanks to the kick *** online play.
