Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Storm Front Marley's Request Revealed!

You still choose what two... If it is two useful ones like Rare Candy and Roseanne's, then its a win-win situation. How is it as bad as Rival?

this card, non-supporter = pwn

This card as a non-supporter = crazy, ridiculous, broken.

Play Luxury Ball as your first Trainer.

Marley gets it back.

Play second Marley to get back the first.

Play Luxury Ball.

Give your opponent choice of Marley or Luxury Ball, either way, you are playing the Luxury Ball again.

That's why it has to be a Supporter.

Marley's Request is like a fixed version of Item Finder where you'll still get a card back from your Discard Pile except instead of having to discard 2 from your hand as a cost to play the card itself you choose 2 from the Discard and your Opponent chooses instead of yourself. Not bad...

This card could see play but it could be better than Item Finder in some decks that need specific Trainers back from their Discard Pile but Marley's Request can also get back a Stadium or Supporter as well despite your Opponent getting to choose what you keep.

It could see some play in decks revolving around Infernape Lv. X but it's hard to tell atm right now. Item Finder is just more flexible in that criteria If you're going Unlimited with the deck but it only gets back Trainers.

This looks pretty interesting. There will be combinations where either one of your options wins you the game, and where only one of them is useful and you get the other. In any case, is anybody really going to argue with a Stadium / Supporter / Trainer recycler? I know I won't.

I also see a scenario being paired with blower, healer and drawer (in 3 or 4's). If you have a one for example drawer in your and and one or two is discared choose one blower or perhaps luxary ball, radar, candy a stadium or anything that make your opponent think badly (and in a way loses focus on what he will do next turn )

Or like you have a healer and drawer in your hand and one of each in the discard pile. Use Marley to get two from discard. Now is either he let you do the heal or do the search.

It can be comboed with Porygon 2's Download

It'll be good later in game, when you can choose stuff where it's pretty good either way, but unfortunatly it won't see to much play.

What is that and quite the handful of text.

I actually like the idea of getting a: Trainer/Stadium/Supporter. But I'd go for Supporters more than anything else and I'd give it a 5.5 or 7 out of 10.

Keep in mind, Marley can get very useful in the future if we get trainer cards the opponent would never choose in some situations - to take an example of last season, who would give you a Cessation Crystal after all his Windstorms are gone?

Yea then on his turn he playes his own Marley to get a windstorm or rare candy back... pretty pointless card really. Why waste deck space with Marley when you can just run an additonal copy of the trainer you would get with it. And there is never any reason to have more then 4 of any one trainer in your deck, so using it as a 5th of this or that is not a good idea.

VERY much disagree. Considering this lets you have a 5th copy of trainer you want, it's a bit more flexible then just throwing in another trainer (You can give the opponent a choice of Pokedraw or Great Ball, and either way get a useful card, as opposed to yet another Great Ball which might not be handy in every situation).

This and a decent Porygon Z will make Porygon engines SCARY, assuming Porygon Z (Japanese promo) ever comes out in English :/

Grab a Luxury Ball. Grab a Rare Candy. Make your opponent flip out...I like it!
The opponet is going to pick luxury ball every time...so therefore, this supporter is equivallent to a bad 5th(6th) bebe's with "no drawback".

aaah! i am having trouble wrapping my brain around this card. at first view it seems pretty innocuous. it's more flexible than just having one more version of a trainer, supporter & stadium. it's useful mid to late game (realistically, though if you're winning, it will be early-mid game).

but i know that there is a combo out there that is skimming past my knowledge, and when we see it, it will be sweet.

It's Rival's sister. Smarter... and better looking!

Seriously, its more akin to Wager... measure your opponents mind and get them to make the wrong choice.

Nope it is about as usefull as Rival.

????? ALL of the trainers in my deck are useful. It doesn't matter what situation I'm in, I will be able
to choose 2 of my discarded trainers, and pick two that would be useful to me in that situation. This
is an AMAZING card! I'd be picking Premeir Ball and Energy Pickup a ton of times. I saw this, and
my jaw simply dropped.

Finally, a great trainer since the release of Great Encounters! I'll choose my Time Space
Distortion, and my Premier ball, pick ur poison.

this card is HAWT. not only is it some emo/goth girl (what the heck is pokemon thinking?), the effect is very nice. i can think of a bunch of combos with this that i would love to play right now.

personally, i can't wait until it's released.

Unless your picking a non-supporter trainer to use, I'm just going to Wager whatever supporter you chose (but can't use the same turn) back into your deck. Whoa, super use there.

My deck could use a fifth rare candy as I never get them when I need them or one is always prized. Like others said, this card could really get your opponent off guard if they choose the "wrong card." But when it comes down to it, more often than not, I would most likely play a Bebe's or Oak's over Marley's.

Also, hooray for being on the front page!
