Stormfront Dusknoir revealed!

Time for Pain

Dusknoir (Stormfront, 1/100) is a Psychic-type Stage 2 Pokémon that is designed to give players a lot of options. Its Shadow Command Poké-Power allows you to draw 2 cards. If you have 7 or more cards in your hand, you have to discard until you have 6 cards and then put 2 damage counters on Dusknoir. This may sound odd, but it works well with the Gripper Pokémon’s Damage Even attack. This attack allows you to put the same number of damage counters on one of your opponent’s Pokémon that is on Dusknoir. Considering that Dusknoir has 120 HP, there is a lot of potential to strike big. Night Spin is also a nifty attack, hitting for 50 and then preventing all effects of an attack, including damage, done by Pokémon with 2 Energy or less on the next turn. Watch out for Dusknoir's +30 Weakness to Darkness-type, and see what this hefty Stage 2 Pokémon can do for your deck!

IFDS only had 100 cards too....so with the potentional scratching of Shaymin LVX and addition of another LVX (Drapion?), that seems pretty solid.

NINJA EDIT

Hey, looks like the Pokedex description is gone.

These attacks are quite lame and the Poke-Power is another version of Claydol IMO...

Soooo, when do we get the cards from Theme Decks? I REALLY prefer the other one...:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poke-Body: Chill
As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, in between turns place 1 damage counter on each of your opponent’s Pokemon that has any Energy attached to it.

[P][C][C] Dark Mist: 60 damage. If the Defending Pokemon already has 2 or more damage counters on it, this attack does an additional 20 damage.

Weakness: Darkness (+30)
Resistance: Colorless (-20)
Retreat: 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or will they all be in Storm Front? *Keeps fingers crossed*

Hmm....just a thought, but since they are dropping 2 level X's, how likely is it that we might get some of the promo cards(I'm looking at you snorlax lv.X) of course, this is all speculation, but still....(Did anyone ever find out what the snorlax did?

Well, the Pokedex flavor text is absent in the Japanese set, so I guess that's why it won't appear in the English version as well.

One of the more weird thing is that since Dusknoir is #1 in the set, that means Dialga from IFDS won't be in the set unless there's some sort of error ...

I don't think that anybody can complain about the showcasing of "bad" cards with this one. IMO, it's VERY nice, especially with the way the Power seems to be worded...

Actually, on the Japanese cards, there wasn't even flavor text on all of the DP1-DP5 cards. Only cards with a DPBP number got flavor text.
I have no idea why the English versions had flavor text for cards like, say, Weavile SW.

This is wat supposed 2 b bumpin tha LV. X huh? I like it. Cress X or Unown P could prove ideal 4 this guy.

I'm sick of seeing Claydol in every deck i play against so hopefully once in awhile I'll see this instead. At least a different picture @_@ ... I think it sounds cool especially if you have an active pokemon that can switch damage counters from you to your oppenent or something along those lines.

LOL I bet they couldn't fit all the stuff in!

It is quite okay, but then again, I think the other 2 are just a bit better.

The Damage even is fantastic but you still have to rely on a opponent that would try to kill it. I think most opponents would like to warp point that Dusknoir lv X asap.

apparently we can't delete our own posts any more.
mods please delete, this was a doublepost that was separated from the first post thanks to a horrible internet connection

no flavor text is amazing, now pokemon can have 3 attacks again!!!!!!111

Ummm MD Mewtwo has flavor text AND three attacks

I hope the theme deck Dusknoir is in this set as well, as it is much better then this one.
