Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Sunday Live from U.S. Nats - Winners announced!

Congrats to all of the winners. Everyone played hard, and performed well. Drew, we were rooting for you in the top 2. You are our national champ no matter what. To see Ohio manage to make such a strong top showing once again. I really wanted to see a twofer this time around. Congrats to Tad as well, for making top 4 in seniors, showing how Ohio can really rock! And of course, I want to congratulate my boyfriend Stephen for managing to make top 32 in masters AFTER the two flights battled it out for the real top 32. For someone who didn't make a single top cut this year, and then have this happen, 26th was very impressive. I'm proud of you baby!

Great Gino, ... GRANDE! Congratulations, I'm Italian and I'm proud that you win thanks to your experience with the deck and with the right tech that all we know the suit best with you playing style!!:thumb:

Congratulations to Gino for the win and to the rest of the NE players for doing so well. Good luck to everyone going to Worlds.

Many congrats to Gino, Henry, and especially Florida's homeboy, Orion!

Next time I see you, Orion, I'm gonna give you a big hug. And I do mean big.

Congrats, thug lyfe (a.k.a. GIIIIIIINO)

I'm interested to see how this ranking war stacked up. I ended the day 5-4; yet, I still stand a very real chance of getting an invite.

If I make worlds, all I have to say is one thing...

to all the people who have said things aganst my post its not that I dont liket the person its that I dont like how they cant make an original dck or if they can they choose to play the meta game because they think they cant win witha nother deck. The point of this game is to be the best by making a grate deck yourself and not using the easy deck that everyone wins with and just for the recourd I havin't gone to nats because canadian nats havin't happened yet but when I go I won't play a stupid meta game deck and then lose to someone that can think of a good deck themselves and be original!

Well. Gratz Gino! You don't know me, but I was there rooting for you! WTG!
Also... Colorado makes TCG HISTORY!!! YES!

Tristan, last years national champion is the first one to get back into the finals in any divsion, placing second. Colorado places nicely!

And Oriley (sorry I misspelled it) never really smiled in the photoshoot. haha First person to win crippled!

I disagree, the point of the game is to have fun. Not everyone can think up decks to play, not everyone has the cards to make every deck they want to play. If you have fun playing a meta deck, a rogue deck, or a theme deck, that's great. To say someone you don't like them because they can't think of a deck is not fair to the person or the game.

PLOX decks do require a lot of thinking, especially when playing another plox. You could give me a plox deck and I would be lost. (Mind you I am lost with most decks). I hope you can change your mind appreciate the different abilities in all of us. See you at Canadian Nationals! and Good Luck

ok well I ment for the people that are competitive about the game and to people who have played plox at least once or twice it vry easy to play.
P.S people who win nats arn't people who dont have card most of the time it people who are major players and collect alot and its not very easy for someone to get the cards for PLOX so and I don't like to say it but noobs dont play PLOX.

Playing Plux is easy winning with it is not, there a reason the same people keeping doing well with it even though many people play it.

The point is to play with the deck that you feel most comfortable with, and to play with the deck you think you can win with, not to play a deck that will do worse just because you want to use an original deck.

It takes a lot more than a good deck to win a tournament as big as Nats.

Ok well I musin't have made myself cleare, congrats to the people for wining nats its hard to win nomatter what deck your playing but Im not giving him browne points for creating a great deck that was never thought to be good that blew us away!

So if somebody plays this deck he gets mud slung on him? That is unfair. The deck isn't a walk-in-the-park to deal with, it is the most teched-against deck in the format. When running this deck, EVERYONE IS AGAINST YOU. You have to have skill to play PLox. It is rather frustrating when people who have never played with PLox or aren't good with PLox say it is an annoying and not good deck.

The PLox players that actually have skill in themselves and not just their deck win tournaments, the PLox players who throw it together and instantly think they will win Worlds will not win.

There is the fact that you aren't playing PLox that also plays a part. What if I told you I hate rogues?

I don't believe there is ever ONE BEST DECK in any format, but it bugs me when people instantly think that is the easiest thing ever to make a rogue. If you are frustrated by PLox, you just aren't one of those elite players who can build a really, really good rogue. Tough cookies.

Wow, looking at the top 16 for Juniors and Seniors...

David M and Jonathan B were the 2 players with 8-0 records, and they both went out! Along with both Masters 9-0 players. Ouch!

Yeah it didn't have to happen that way. We had a great time but too see it end like this is more heart breaking than anything the boy has gone through. Can I start a slops page for our Sour Grapes on another thread? I don't want to rain on this happy Parade or take away any thing from the players that won. The event was just to darn good and would really want to thank everyone that made Nationals what it was to go negative today. Winners enjoy your day. You deserve it.
