we wouldnt have to wait, if the date never got pushed back then we'd all be playing it right now, dec. 3rd was the US release date. although i could be misunderstanding what you said completely...

man that sucks! i would be so p****d if someone took my wallet and 60 bucks!

Oh. But wait, then wouldn't it be released in Japan already, thus disrequiring all of this annoyance and speculation due to the fact that our good friends in Japan would have already spilled all this *EFF* already?

Besides Pokemon and MegaMan games, Japan really doesn't have the game locally released months before the US does, usually more like days.
 
Translation into local languages takes a long time especially for RPGs with lots of text (hence why there are so many Japan-only RPGs).

As far as preordering, you can preorder as others have mentioned, but I'm going to wait as long as possible. The reason is because I waited for Super Mario Galaxy until the Sunday before it came out to see where the best deal was. I went to to TRU immediately, and it turns out I got the preorder bonus and the game for only 25$ (50$ plus 25$ gift card). So sometimes procrastination really does pay off. If I hadn't waited till the last minute, I would have probably ended up paying 50$ at BestBuy.

As far as recent updates, I want some more characters! Stages and assist trophies are OK filler, but characters are where its at. No more options please!

Waluigi is a cool assist trophy, but its a bummer cause he's not a playable character.

Thanks! I appreciate it! I am wondering if Nintendo will be giving out any type of bonus gift to keep us hyped up. Remember how they gave that awesome Ocarina of Time bonus gift with Windwaker, and they usually throw something in with the Pokemon games? I am hoping for them to announce something cool that is free in the upcoming weeks.

I'm still *censor*ed off because my grandmother wouldn't let me pre-order Colosseum, claimging they would still have the offer if we got it on opening day. Guess what: THEY DIDN"T! And I didn't get my super awesome Jirachi because of it.

how long will the 2 day streak last though? only time will tell...

it had better be for a while! im sick and tired of all these lame game modes and how to plays that we already know about! if its one (like today) than its ok, but otherwise its a waste of time.

come on give us ridley this week!!! (or any character for that matter, new or returning...)
