Well, Pokemon's the second-largest Nintendo franchise. Plus, it has the most characters (493). Besides, Meowth has been in about the same number of episodes as Pikachu!
True. However, Meowth is a comic relief character, and therefore not worthy of mention in SSBB. Meanwhie, I can believe Lucario as a nice replacement for Mewtwo, but not have both of them, cause then we'd just have too many. And the reason I say Mario is an exception is because Nintendo could probably stamp Mario's face on their logo and people wouldn't bat an eye, because it's the most staple and pretty much the most popular franchise, or even franchise idea, the Nintendo has ever even considered for a solitary second. Whereas if they put a Pikachu on it, people would be wondering why the heck they did that when Pokemon is only really there's by copyright, it's pretty much the child of Gamefreak and the Pokemon Company (the guys who did the console games).

Meowth is more than comic relief. He's the bad guy, Pikachu's rival, whatever else you'd like to call him... and Lucario would be a beast. I can just see Meowth having a Final Smash of a Robo-Meowth.

I think meta knight wiill be playable.
1)He's not over sized like most enemies
2) He has played a very important role in may Kirby games.
3) It shows him on the websites as a gliding example with Charizard and pit
4) The site uses Meta Knight as an example Character to tech about the basics of the game controls

I checked the web. I was thinking of a remake, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, which was released for the Nintendo GameCube
