these sleeves are probably only good for league or play testing but i have also noticed somemixed reviews some people have noticed problems and some havent there are only 2 answers
1: shuffling ( ive shuffled my normal way adn that never mess up prerelease sleaves before this is the first set)
2: its a defect in the sleeves ( i think this is the answer i just dont know why only some people have the problem and some dont)

I've been using more or less the same set of Lucario sleeves for the past 2 years and they're still in workable condition lol (after '08 regionals, '08 nats, and plenty of BR's/Cities). While nothing quite matches that standard, I think all sleeves LA-on have been decent enough, lasting me a tournament or two and still being playable. I haven't opened my Chomp ones yet, I might try them out over the weekend.

Also, I second whoever said purple goes better with gold (maybe it's just because I live in LA... hmm)

I had big problems with mine too. Started peeling on the first day of play. Pretty disappointed since I really liked the design of them (anyone want to trade Rotom sleeves for them?).

I wish I had a pair to test. But the best sleeves I've personally ever used were SF prerelease ones. I still have 2 like-new sets and they're awesome!

All my other sleeves seem fine except for the little black-ish grey dirt speck somethings or others they accumulate...anyone know why that is?

My batch has held up pretty well so far, but unfortunately, three or four of the sleeves seem a bit bent in the bottom left-center. They seem to be straightening out, but they're still kinda noticeable.

It's ow people treat their cards.
My first real tournament, the Rising Rivals Prerelease, I was shocked to how Pokemon players treat their cards. The only tournaments I went to before Pokemon, Yugioh, everyone seemed to treat their cards like they were made of thin glass. So anyway, I saw people shuffle their decks, and the cards getting caught in the slots of the sleeves and then FORCING them to be adjusted. And then I saw people poker shuffle their cards, and seeing them bend made me want to hurt myself. Then we got a lot of players just shuffling their hand out of force of habit. In an almost violent way. And they rubbed the cards together, abasing each other and bending them.
So what I'm saying is-
Treat your cards like they were made of glass. Not so careful you won't play with them but enough so after your game your cards aren't curled up.

Echnalaid, I literally have boxes and boxes of card sleeves, from Dragon Shields and Japanese brand sleeves to Ultra Pro and the PreRelease sleeves prior to Supreme Victors. I have never had this problem with any of my other sleeves. I shouldn't have to treat my card sleeves as though they were made of glass - they are, after all, supposed to be protecting my cards. It would be like telling a football player to treat his sports gear as though it were made out of glass.

Treat your cards like they're made of glass? What does that have to do with a batch of defective sleeves? I don't abuse my cards in any of the ways you mentioned, and the back of one of the new sleeves had a really significant peel after only a few rounds of play.

I hope that this doesn't cause a problem for anyone in upcoming tournaments. I'd hate to see someone get a penalty for a marked card or something even though they used brand new Pokemon-issued sleeves for the tournament.

Mine are still unopened. I'm waiting to see if my friends' sleeves start to peel or get ruined. If theirs are fine, mine should be too.

What sleeves are legal to use? I know that they changed the rules a couple years ago, and I thought you couldn't use Dragon Shields? Anyone know?

I've been using Dragon Shield all season long with no problem. I think the only thing that matters is the border on the sleeve has to be even all the way around.

I found one extra sleeve on the ground. Oh well for the person that only has 59 SV sleeves =(. Least I found what I can do with my extra sleeve

I find Dragon Shield to be some of the worst sleeves I have ever purchased. Every time I have bought them I have attracted a disgusting residue of some kind that spreads over all the sleeves.

It's like they're dirt magnets.

I get..... so many bad mental images when I read this...

.
.

Anyway, I don't know what happened this time around. Is it the same manufacturer?

Dragon Shields the BEST? I've gotta go with those new UltraPro No Glares on that one my friend. Or.. MAX Tournment ... not Dragon Shields.

I used the sleeves to sleeve a easy play deck to teach my 6yr old cousin how to play ... when she was done, one had a hard slash through the back of one of the sleeves. Don't know how that cut got there, but other than that the sleeves were pretty good ... I just don't like the color combo.

@Rogue Archetype: I haven't had any experience with the UltraPro Non-Glares, but, I feel that Dragon Shields are better quality than the Max Tournament sleeves. That's just my opinion, however.

The best sleeves by far as Japanese KMC sleeves, bar none.
