SW Pidgeot Competitive?

Why not run bubble coat for weak? That way it does not apply though only once. Run 4 and then the lux will have only 60 shots and at that point if you run four then they cant do weak unless they run SSU. As well thanks to department store girl they are searchable. Just a thought.
 
Sorry, I didn't mean to turn this thread into a "omg luxray doesn't kill it THAT bad" discussion.

Please note that I actually changed my mind after saying that, everyone. Luxray does kind of kill Pidgeot, in this format at least.
 
with 2 SP. darks and an expert belt you got 90 for 2. pretty nice IMO, just needs something to give it more power, mirror move can also be useful... maybe this could be good with 3 crobat G, 4 poketurn, 4 SSU (used for pidgeot/crobat) to get those OHKO's?
 
Promocroak and Relicanth are viable options in any colorless deck that has space. I don't see how this is any different.
 
It´s so funny to see how people try to talk a bad or medicore as a good one.

When there are cards in the formart wich are better or do nearly the same but faster/cheper, why not playing this good cards?
 
He really wasn't rude, and he was keeping on topic. He brought into question the viability of Pidgeot, as opposed to better, faster, more disruptive attackers that exist in the format right now.

He asked a perfectly good question. Why would you pick Pidgeot when there's Kingdra, Gengar, and Beedrill as faster Pokemon with better attributes.

I think you're trying to desperately protect an "eh" card by flinging "the rules" in his face.
 
Actually, he's backseat modding, which is considered spam - but for the record, he's right. When someone makes a topic on (for example) Pidgeot, the discussion is supposed to be about Pidgeot. Not all of the things that are better than Pidgeot.

Now then - what I meant about HG/SS format is the format in which Luxray GL is rotated out, which is what's giving Pidgeot so much trouble.
 
Luxray GL lvx can almost always one hit ko pidgeot(lucario gl; most of the lists play one) while Pidgeot can never really one hit ko Luxray GL lvx unless the Luxray GL player is playing carelessly and not using his brain.

It might do well in heavy Flygon metagame. >60% Flygon
 
^exploud if your really worried about luxray. 150 HP (i think) with belt isn't all that easy however. you have to use lucario/crobatr/trash bolt to get a KO.
 
Pidgeot SW was used as an "answer" to Gallade awhile ago, if anyone catches my drift. At least someone had an idea with it awhile back.

In any case, although T1 or T2 Pidgeot with Double Colorless would be competitive, it's definitely not great. I mean, it's a stage 2 and DCE is limited to four. Kingdra is an easier combo to pull off and, in my opinion, just as good.
 
exploud is such a bad idea. i would just gust out the exploud with my luxray, kill him, and then im home free to OHKO the rest of the pidgeots, who are only doing 50 damage, and never using mirror move because theyre only OHKOd.

bad deck, will never work. next?

First of all, my post was not rude ;)

I talk about pidgeot, because i say there are better cards than pidgeot :D


AND ther will be no HG/SS format in which is luxray gl rotated out, at least not until 2011,

next format will be Platin-On i bet...... and wait.....i think ....than.... is Pidgeot rotated out.

Next time look out for better aguments ;)

sv rhyperior does basically the same thing for the same amount of energy

but rhyperior has more hp and does more damage so i think its the better choice
