There. 3 Cessation Crystals should do the trick, but if you still don't feel comfortable, drop a POV for a 4th

I really like the original Swift Empoleon, my favorite World Championship deck in fact. I think you did well in modifying your version.

My son is planning to modify his Empoleon deck similarly when GE comes out, but at our league we were talking about Absol ex--won't all ex's be almost impossible to play if Cresselia LV. X comes out (i.e., knock out an ex and take 3 prize cards!!!).

That's true, but what's nice is that Absol has resistance to psychic, so cressellia's attacks will only be doing 10 or 20 damage...

He has a very good point there. I don't think they will do:
plus power
plus power
strength charm
lol. It takes a whole lot, Absol is still nice here, so cressellia isn't a hinderance at all.

The onlyproblem is a very rare, Absol start. If the opponent decides to play lucario and has a riolu start, I'm done for...

Hi, I built this deck and did very well with it! The only thing I figured out was that a diffrent starter can be used in this deck, phione is great but one problem I found with it is that some times I didn't have the bench pokemon to evolve them. So i tried the deck using absol as a starter, it worked great but set up just a little slower(although it slows down your oppenent even more!), any way.. both versions are really good, (also I tried running a 2-2 octillary line, it worked against decks that use/rely on double rainbow and special energy, and it also helped snipe) heres the list I came up with..

Phione version:

Pokemon: 17
4 Empoleon
3 Prinplup
4 Piplup
4 Phione
2 absol ex (amazng! so much combos and strategys to pull off with this card that could win you the game.)

Trainers: 27
2 Cessation
2 Castaway
2 TGW (really good disruption while spreading tons of dmg.)
3 POV/TVR/Felecitys drawing once new set comes out.
3 Celio's
3 rare candy
3 Roseanne's research
1 mentor (this is simply for getting more basics for phione.)
2 stevens advice
2 super scoop up (amazing trust me.. I did so much combos with absol and the spread damage that it isn't even funny! also good for when you have a empoleon or something almost dead, just scoop it up!)
1 strength charm (your going to need this, for example have you ever thought of the times when your like.. Darn if only i had a strength charm! well here it is, you can search it with castaway.)
1 night maintnence (need this, only one line of pokemon.)
1 tsd (this helps soooo mucccch!!, but if you don't have one just drop it and add in another night maintnence.)

Energy: 16
4 DRE
2 Scramble
10 Water

I did pretty well with that list, you should try it out.

what about electicatty, or is that not a viable deck anymore?

I can build more then one deck, (ive been playing a long time,) right now i have empoleon, elecatty, blissy bannete, and gardilade, and working on magmorter :p..

I would say no for dawn stadium, it just takes up space and it doesnt matter really, the empoleons are going to get 2 hitted most likely no matter what.
