um yea, T2 Banette PWNS empoleon. i would love to see you get out an empoleon fast enough to bat down the banette swarm. its like the Empoleon v Honchkrow match-up, as lng as you get set-up fast, they can't win. and how is what Vegeta wrote spam? he's giving HIS opinion on the match-up.

Banette probably has the edge, but it isn't impossible for Empoleon. It depends on what both lists look like. Getting an Empoleon up shouldn't be too hard, but you still have to sacrifice a couple things in the process, and by doing that you already give Banette the edge which you usually can not afford to do.

In Banette's favor.

^After reading this posts by you, I have compleatly lost any respect I might have had for you, and consider any of your posts worthless spamm. Good job. :nonono:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Wow such humor in a post. Banette is a little faster than Empoleon tho, only thing Banette most likely has to go first,so it can KO Pipulp before anything gets going. Prinpulp is gonna spread 10 no matter if neccessary.

60/40 in Empoleons favor tho cause Scramble and 70/20 is kinda hard to beat.

Empoleon plays Galatic, that means nothing if the deck is ready for it as well.It dosent one shot it,but a Pluspower(which Empoleon has)then it does and then setups another poke on the bench for a KO. I mean Banette has MORE speed than it does and does have the edge a little but one Empoleon can run rampant.

Either way now I change it to a 50/50 matchup but it all depends on the list. The List makes it the difference maker.

Minun SW helps a lot in this deck.

Banette's first attack leaves you at a risk of being KOed back. Minun makes the most of this.

Banette should run 3-4 Galactics for maximum disruption. You can use Minun's power after a Galactics to help recover from it.

maybe adding miltoic delta to look at your oppenents hand and use asupporter then discard wiht tv reporter or use tgw if their hand is good just a a suggestion.

Minun SW isnt bad in the deck,I mean you dont wanna start with him and Sableye CG can be used instead. Straight Banette works the best.

Str8 Banette is the best IMO. ALthough I am looking at BLissey with it, it may work. Gengar DP may also help it out some, but all of that does take away the speed the Banette will be known for sadly. But they are possible. I was thinking about a 4/4 Banette and a 3/3 Blissey. A 4/4 Banette and a 3/2/3 Gengar combo.

I've just tested T2 Banette vs. Mario. Mario has no chance at all. Banette is too fast, and Mario is weak. Well, that was obvious, wasn't it? But I thought I'd report anyway. BTW, the record was 3-0 straight Banette, and 1-0 Banette/Sableye.

My list is very fast, and I don't use DRE at all. Buffer Piece is terrific.. not a "must" but darn near. I also run 2 Cess which kept the Lucario Lv.X from ever having even a chance. I don't run Mentor, but Roseanne's so I am assured of good Energy draw, which the DRE loss could affect, but doesn't for me. I run 4 TV Reporter, but no Adventurer. It's overkill, and Banette is so fast it's ridiculous.

You need 3 Night Maintenance and *no* TSD since you must get back Energy, usually gone 2 at a time.

I thought about Banette/Blissey today also. Banette gets back Banette, and Blissey gets back Energy for use. I'd probably use 2-2 Blissey just for cleanup and so it wouldn't get in the way of the Banette.

Gengar isn't really a good choice for Banette (too slow, and the current Gastly is terrible). If anything, Gengar/Crobat, or Gengar/Muk. Just IMO>

I love Gengar soo much. I can flip a coin and if heads, they are 10 away from knock, which helps the Blissey matchup. Also, with the combo of Absol EX, Gengar could be something to look at!!!

Yeah, I have a number of Gengar decks ready to go, but if I'm gonna risk my neck with a coin flip, I gotta have a better starter than the current Gastly (and even Haunter).

There definitly is room in the deck but, I'd tather run something that is a guarantee than somethin that is a 50-50. But if the format uses special enery like DRE, Scramble, Holon Castform, then I may want to change to ER2's but, for me, my metagame doesn't have that!!!

It's still better to run the Crystal Beach and let the opponent try to Windstorm than to flip for ER2, but I say that only because I can't flip for beans. I run 2 Beach/1 Scott here. Normally, I don't like Scott, but it helps getting some TV Reporters also.

Banette will run both Galactics and Crystal Beach. Even then, 70 to Banette still doesn't 1 shot it.

Banette will have aqua shower damage on it. Its amazing; A guy posted a thread for help on a deck, and it transformed into Banette vs Empoleon:nonono: IMO, empoleon is the 2nd best pokemon in the format. It should beat everything but Blissey.

lol, Empoleon is good, 2nd best in the game?....no....but it is a very good card. It has many losses IMO but, the Empoleon matchup against Banette is 50-50. It is fast vs faster, faster should win but, given the abuse that EMpoleon can bring with scrambles and the spread damage tactic of EMpoleon, it makes it 50-50. The most skilled player will win in this matchup!!!

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. It's a deck vs a deck, not a card vs a card.
