Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Texas~State Championship

GJ Kyle!!!!!!
Team SA for seniors this year wasn't so hot. =P But I have to admit that those matches with Ankur and dale were pretty Epic. 4-2 for me 10th place so close to top cut. =D
But I am happy I beat Steven

P.S. Congrats Ankur!!!!

I just realized something... Andy won Masters, Ankur won seniors, and Dallas won juniors. That means DFW swept TX States. :thumb: That's awesome! GJ to all those that won and at least Top cutted.

Wish I could have stayed longer, I actually got called into work when I was leaving to meet up with them to play bowling. I at least was able to get some games in and hang out with them after work. Nicely done Kyle, I wonder how I would have done if I stayed...

We got back to The Woodlands around 2pm this afternoon, we just wanted to tell everyone that we had a blast at Tx states yesterday! It was a long day, but we are used to long tournaments! If you are there late that is usually a good thing! Matthew placed 2nd in Juniors, he was happy after finishing 8th in the swiss rounds! Also a big congrats to Dallas for coming in 1st!

The store owners and everyone involved in the tournament were very gracious and welcoming! Birch always has A+ staff and support staff. Props to him for that! :thumb: Although, I must say that he always runs super events! And we are a little partial to him at our house anyway! I was happy to see a huge turnout despite the rainy and cold weather.

Danny Fish did an excellent job as head judge! He was running around quite a bit. Come to mention it, so was I, with all of those masters play slips! He seemed happy to be there, it is nice to have him back in TX, where he belongs! Jose, Roy, and Mike also did an excellent job running the Masters, Seniors, and Juniors! Eveyone seemed to have a good time. It is a hard task to run a tournament with 189 people in it and not have many snags!

Good job to all of the winners! In my book, if you show up and play, have fun, do your best -- then no one loses!

We hope to see everyone at Regionals on April 18th with their game faces on! The Sweet's!

Twas a fun and awesome event overall. It was a pleasure to meet you all (Twas the guy with Shaymin plush running pure AMU). These matches taught me a thing or two on how to improve my deck, so hopefully I'll be better for regionals. Good job on the matches as well, Kyle. Second place is still awesome, but Team San Antonio will get that title next time! NEXT TIMEEEEE!! [/Dr. Claw]

Looking foward to regionals. I was 50/50 on it at first, but now that I got a first hands experience on a true "big pokemon event", I want to get involved with it again.

Here's the few pictures I managed to take. Birch took some pics as well, so I'm looking foward to that too.

Andy definitely deserved to win that tournament. He was the best player playing the best deck.

Well played man.

Me and my friend had to leave early so we didn't get to see what decks won. We didn't do too well but we had fun. Does anybody remember off hand the top 4 or so decks in masters?

Wow, I left after 2 losses, figuring it wasn't worth it to stay and get my butt handed to me again, but my two losses were to Andy and William.

... I probably should have stayed.

I couldn't agree more: while Andy was working hard to prepare for each of his opponents, two other well-known, successful players on the Texas scene were busy preparing their own way...

...By playing Nintendo DS.

Major props to Andy and Kyle. You guys are awesome players! Also, props to the Oklahoma crowd for placing T4, T8, and T16 out of only 5 people.
