Texas States: March 20th, INFORMATION TO come: February 19, 2010 at 8:00pm

its funny everybody making bids for states kinda like deciding where a superbowl or a wrestlemania going to be i want the new cowboy stadium for states and regionals and maybe worlds soon???????????????

If it's in Dallas, or anywhere near Dallas I can go. If it's in San Antonio/Houston/I don't know where Lubbok is but probably there to. I will miss yet another States. Bring it to Dallas, *gives a puppy dog face*, I'm puppy dog facing. );
 
Lubbock's an easy place....it's just on the other side of Texas and a little ways East of El Paso. It's a good 4-5 hour drive from Ft.Worth.

Well, everyone knows it won't be in Houston since I'm running Regional down here. Lubbock is SOOOO far out of the way from the 3 major Pokemon areas (Houston, Dallas, San Ant) that it's out of the question. That leaves it to Dallas and San Antonio.

My money is on Dallas.

This is just my opinion, I could be wrong. Birch could stun us all and put States in Tyler, Waco, Lubbock, Midland, Austin or any other hillbilly Texas town with a Dairy Queen.

Where ever it might be, Birch will take care of us, he loves us, we're his little PokeKiddies.
 
Can we get an end to people begging for the State championship to be held in their city, just because they live there and it is convenient for them? That is such a selfish approach. Any big event should be held in either the most centralized location possible or the location nearest the PTO, in order for all arrangements between the PTO and the venue/hotel/etc to be made as smoothly as they can.

I get so tired of people clamoring for an event to be held in a city solely for their own personal convenience. Aside from the selfish angle, these bids are completely non-pragmatic and will never be answered. Look at the complete situation.

I talked to Jose E. at a prerelease this Sunday and he said he doesn't seem to think MPB is going to be operating in San Antonio because he hasn't heard anything from him about it. That means Dallas or a surrounding northern city seems like it will be the location.
 
I only said Dallas as it is a nice area for something like this. Almost everybody knows about Dallas who lives in Texas. Lubbok? Not quite. San Antonio I wouldn't put past people since it's popular. But as the above poster said, it probably won't be held there.

I WANT STATES IN HOUSTON!!!

So what if we get Regionals? As the 4th largest city in the U.S we deserve BOTH!!!!
I can think of 100 reasons I won't bother posting, but I WANT STATES IN HOUSTON =(
