I don't know about the situation in the USA, but here in The Netherlands, if players play TGW, they're allowed to use those cards that say "Rock" "Paper" or "Scizzors" on them.
I want that disallowed.
I mean sure, I can still do that whole thing with my arm, but my opponent doesn't. And I don't see that as very fair.
To prove my point, I did some tests with a nephew of mine.
First we played Rock-Paper-Scizzors 20 times. I won 15 of them.
Then we used the cards. I won 10 of them.
To see whether this was coïncidence or not, I went to challenge my sister. This time, I won 14 in the real play, and 11 with the cards.
I then thought how that happened, and found the solution in the psychology part. Its easier to psych out your opponent when you swing your arm a few times and even say "Rock Papper Scizzors" during the throw. It allows you to read your opponent's movements, which is pretty much impossible when using the cards. Also, the cards are much more random as you might expect; after all, you eliminate a psyching out part of the game, and its more like "Meh, I'll just pick this one", especially if its the first one in the game.
As such, I'd like to know if its possible to make my opponents play RPS rather as using those cards, even if the judges offer the cards. For RPS is a game of skill, much more as picking a proper card is.
