ok report but can everyone stop spaming how good he is? he won nats with a deck that anyone could have won with and same with worlds. seeing you leave dosn't make me happy but at least i dont need to put up with all your crying over all of your losses.

Sleeve thing is complete garbage and just another case of judges power-tripping IMO, I would be outraged, especially cuz its sleeves that they provided. What a joke. I totally feel for you and think that you get undeserved and unnecessary hate. What a shame.
 
Gino, this was a very inspiring report in many ways! It was written very well. That ruling was something I'm sure a lot of people disagree with, and it happens. Unforunatly, this was one of the worst times it could ever happen. Tis a shame.. It was an honor for you to play here in the North East + New England Area and you surly will be missed. I wish you the best luck in your future endeavors and life! May this not be the end...

Is everyone forgetting something? It doesn't matter where you get the sleeves it is the players responsibility to make sure they are no marked in anyway.

Oh the irony...

I don't like how you act after you won Nationals last year, but I do think innocent until proven guilty should apply to this. There's no logic to mark TEN cards. There's no reason to assume Gino WANTED to cheat, and since it was something POP provided, I feel a simple re-sleeve would've sufficed. Not my call, but I symphatize with you Gino and feel this was undeserved as I do think you deserve the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Pablo: No one ruled Gino cheated. He simply had a marked deck with a distinct pattern. IF OP thought he was cheating, his day would have been over with a DQ and a vacation from the game in the form of a ban.

I don't like the negative attention Khan has received for picking up on the whole sleeves thing. It peeves me off that people are getting stuck into him. it's his right as a player to make sure the other player isn't cheating. He most likely wasn't trying to give Gino a game-loss. No more Khan-bashing!
 
I'm totally gonna have to agree with Pablo and Sebastian on this one.
If POP is giving out sleeves, they would want the players to use them
right? Otherwise what point is there to give them out? Why should have
Gino gotten a Penalty over something that totally wasn't his fault? Also
not to mention and pardon me if this is taking it to far but who's to say
that the Judge(s) specifically targetted Gino? They could of Targetted
him over more than just a simple Sleeve error.

I think they should of had Deck Checks before the event started and sleeve
checks.

After reading this there should be a new rule put into place. Maybe you
should try banning your own sleeves cause they might be marked and
they'd probably just give players more Game Losses.
 
khan le is one of the most nicest pokemon players out there now, and the opposing player................ well.
 
Nice seeing you again, as I said, you've truly grown into one of the best players this game has ever had since I first met you in 06. Keep up the good work w/e youre going to do next,

LOL, I remember seeing Kahn after you got the game loss. I swear the kid looked so proud and was literally bragging to Jason on how he won. Totally lame.

Your hating on somebody you don't even know. Gino is a stand up a guy and a top notch player. I don't know who you are and honestly I don't really care. But considering this is his tournament report he shouldn't have to put up with all the hate from somebody who doesn't even know him.

You can not like him, that's your personal feelings, but why bad mouth him and the great accomplishments that he's achieved in this game? I mean no matter what deck you play, Nats and Worlds are hard enough to play in and do well. He's done extremely well in both tournaments. I mean Pooka played a well known deck during Nats. Does that mean I should or have the right to bad mouth him? Of course not!! Or Steven for playing a deck that had a great match-up against the meta? Absolutely not!! The champions of the past and present fought hard to earn their titles and we should respect them.
