Hey guys, well after some tought I decided to post this list and I would love to hear what you think about it, imho, it has donk possibilities and very good comeback pokemon if the whole line is benched. It does have mayor problems vs Dusknoir ofcourse but all in all I think it might work.

Pokemon:
2 Politoed
4 Poliwrath
3 Poliwirl
4 Poliwag
3 Claydol
3 Baltoy
2 Palkia
1 Palkia lv. X

22

Trainers/Supporters:
4 Team Galactic's Wager
4 Bebe's Search
2 Roseanne's Research
4 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point
4 Quick Ball
2 Snowpoint Temple

22

Energy:
4 Call Energy
4 Fighting Energy
8 Water Energy

16

The idea is to masivly go trough your deck to put up the line as soon as possible and disrupt your opponents hand.

The Palkia is here to break the opponents Stadiums and bring new ones, usefull for my weak, but able to heavy hit Poliwag. Also the lv X causes disruption, while many opponent may choose the Politoed for their face up, even he can 1hKo claydols (flippy indeed, but able)

The Poliwrath heavyness is because of it's abiltiy to donk, if my opponents starts first I have the ability to 1hko a Eevee, a Horsea and if I'm up vs a Mime I'm okay with it because it only stalls and I can use the time for my build up.

The 4x Wager is in it because of massive disruption, it can break people's build ups very fast and if used this much I will be able to do so from turn 1/2.

The 3-3 Claydol is in it simply because I have a time consuming build up. The faster he's on my bench the more painfull the wager becomes.

Now I would like your ideas about it, and I'll playtest it as soon as possible guys!

Cheers,

True that does hurt indeed, however I hoped I'd have enough basics with 9 in total (4 poliwag's 2 palkia and 3 baltoy's)

I'll consider your idea tough!

This combo actually isn't bad. With cards like TS-1 (which you should have in here IMO) and other stuff that seeks out lots of pokemon, it is easier to pull off, and it was first believed that Politoed's body made it so Poli's that did damage to themselves was increased, but i just read Politoed, and it is damage only to the defending pokemon, so yeah, i think that make this deck alot better.

No TSD or Night Maintenance?
What are you going to do when you lose 1 Poliwag?

Prehaps you can try Garchomp Lv.X too, restoring fully powered Poliwhirls and Politoeds can be nice.
Only downside about it is that he takes up alot of room in your deck.

Garchomp will not see play StarWolf, in lots of decks he's a great idea but rarely functions.

I'm indeed thinking of using 2 NM, it might be a must in this deck, the azelf also is a good idea, I'll playtest some of you guys your ideas!

Thanks,

1 Azelf LA is necessary. A prized Poliwag would be devastating. You absolutely HAVE to have 4 Poliwag at all times. So 1 Azelf LA is an absolute MUST!!!

A 2-2 line of Baltoy/Claydol is fine. Scrap the 3-3. Its too much. Use the extra room for Night Maintenance/Time Space Distortion.

And I think you need to scrap Palkia altogether, you just arent going to have enough room for everything you need in play.

1 Poliwrath (active ideally)
1 Politoed (benched)
1 Poliwhirl (benched)
1 Poliwag (benched)
1 Claydol (benched)
1 Palkia (benched)

Thats gonna be rough enough without Palkia let alone with it. Besides it makes no sense in the deck anyway.

My opinion on this deck is as follows: Nice deck, but not exactly Tier 1. You're going to need time to build that stuff up. Deck will be a tad slow if u ask me. If this deck does become popular Dusknoir will end its day completely. So why bother testing a deck out when 1 single solitary card in the format like Dusknoir (which is teched into ALOT of decks) will own it?

Good points Zangoosed,

The main reason for this deck is fun, and testing it's qualities. Imho Dusknoir can't be seen in every deck, the G&G decks often had one in it, but I don't see lots of Luxray/Gliscor/Kingdra decks with Dusknoir.

I'll consider the drop of Palkia indeed, a Azelf is much better here. Even 2 Unknown tech's would fit better indeed.

Mainly this deck is for my Battleroads, but if it really lacks any punch I'll probably end up playing a Gliscor deck

Cheers, and more tips are welcome!

Well, i was sort of thinking out loud with the Garchomp idea.
Like you already corrected, Palkia doesn't have much use and you realy need a NM or TSD.

I would swap atleast 1 wager for a Rosanne's or another Quick Ball.
4 Wager is too much.
(Not saying it's useless...)

I also think it might help to swap 1 Water Energy for a Fighting.
Did you consider Multi Energys too?

But there isn't much i can add, i never played Poli's myself.
Good luck with your deck, i'm realy hoping it will be fun/good to play.
Loved Politoed the moment i saw him when the pokemon silver/gold game boy games got released.

EDIT:
Oh forgot to say this before.
Good to see some other Dutch players on pokegym.

Well, this is the new deck, some good adjustments have made, now the most interesting card here is the Super Scoop Up. I can't belive I was so stupid not to include it, because scooping up your almost killed Poliwrath brings up the line up and over. Plus it can save benched Poliwags who could be hurt, now I would still like to fit Snowpoint in it but if a Wag get's hurt benched the extra hp doesn't mather (kingdra 2hko's it, empoleon and many others also.

Hope you like it peeps!

With kind regards, Killax - creator of the Polifamily :thumb:

Edit: Check out the Suicune power and Multi Energy also added.

Suicune, very nice choice, didn't think about that.

Um, put in another Politoed? idk, 3 just seems so much better

We have a deck similar to this for our son and it seems to do great. It's a thinking deck though. You really have to think about what you are doing and watching how many bench spots you have. We put in Pachi and the TM Evolutor for after we use call for family. Then let him get knocked out to open a bench position. He runs one Azelf because prizing any of the poli's can be critical! It's a fun deck and who doesn't love Politoed..he's just so darn cute!!

Yep, well i've tested it and it will remain my more fun pokemon deck I'm afraid. It does have potential tough.

It does work very good with pachi indeed, I'll post a final list with him included, however it still is a very hard thing to acomplish. But if your a bit lucky it can come out very dangerous. A 3rd Politoed indeed does work better.

Do expect an update tough :D like said, who doesn't love the Politoed/Poliwrath!

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

NR. 2 UPDATE PEOPLE:

The new deck:

Pokemon:
3 Politoed
4 Poliwrath
3 Poliwirl
4 Poliwag
3 Pachirisu
1 Azelf
1 Suicune

19

Trainers/Supporters

4 Team Galactic's Wager
4 Bebe's Search
3 Roseanne's Research
4 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point
4 Quick Ball
1 Night Maintanence
4 Super Scoop Up

25

Energy:

3 Call Energy
6 Fighting Energy
4 Water Energy
2 Multi Energy

15

Well I've tested it quite alot (12 games) and it is a deck that needs some real luck. Without the Pachirisu start it's almost unable to make. I dropped a call because idealy you start with Pachi. Also the quick ball works wonders for this deck, unless you bounche up a Pachirisu but the chances arn't that big.

Again, I favoured an extra Wager just because this way your opponents plans can be stalled, again it's all about luck.

I'll consider it a nice deck, but to luck based. Like mentioned a prized Poliwag and Azelf cancels all your good possibilities, but then again in most decks 2 lv. X also cancels some gameplans...

Consider it my fun deck, because it is very hard/frustrating to play sometimes :D

Cheers guys! More tips/ideas are always welcome!
