Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The Reign of Gardelade: Ended at last!

Yea, I think that deck was a fair contender against it.
The Zong and Emp spread, plus both of their ability to net a OHKO with a scramble is great.
It can also use Cess. which is always a plus for a GG counter.

Although, just of the record, that was a deck WAY before it was your secret deck, Pika. Some of my friends from AZ used it, but they top cut with it. And it saw play in Utah right after Bronzong and Empoleon were released.

I never said it was a new deck. :p

It IS different from most Empoleon Bronzong any way so who cares? :/

Well if no one cares then why say \"AKA Edgar.dec\"? Nobody cares. right? If its different then your average EmpZong build then how is Muscovy supposed to know what the match up for it would be and how it would work...? :/

Anyways, Muscovy, you should prolly add at least the most basic of Eeveelutions match up to the list, as it is a deck with growing popularity, and with the right list can hold its own against a GG/Plox build.
Banbliss should also probably be a match up separate from Banette and Blissey. A few variations of it with Cess and Beach did top cut in the Masters division.
But the match ups for both both greatly vary depending on the build of the deck and what (if any are present) techs are used.

I'd think G&G/Plox vs Eeveelutions would be about 60-40. Eevees can get KO'd by anything, and Gallade is just devastating to it, since they all have low HP. It does have [DEL]some[/DEL] a good point[DEL]s[/DEL] (Glaceon Lv.X), but no Telepass or Claydol won't stop you. I'm inclined to say that G&G would do better, because of more Gallade.

BUt MagLutions can contend with either GG and PLOX more GG than PLOX tho Im pretty sure. Also when u play R-GON,u play it with a Gardy line like so

4-2-2-2-1-1 Gardy d Ex/Gardy SW/Gardy X/Gallade(Raltz d/Kirlia d)
2-1-2-1 Flygon d/Flygon d Ex
1 Mew * d
1 Ray d Ex
4 Holon Castform

I tired it and it worked better than the just focusing on Flygon d Ex

But will it survive next format? Yes. The only major cards going are DRE and Scramble, which are not essential. The unstoppable quality of it means that a T3 Gardy or Gallade is just as good as a T2 one. It will go from "Insanely uber broken deck." to "A pretty good deck.". Sure, it loses other stuff to, but nothing important. Celio can always be replaced with Bebe.
Next format, nothing will insanely dominate. (We hope)...

Special thanks to Arceus999![/QUOTE]

Do you think so.If only PCL invents new speed energy cards then it some how be a hit

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Nice article, but what did you think about Grumpig from Crystal Guardiens against G&G?

With his attack, it can minimum eat one Gardy or Galla (and his body giv you a auto-resistence against pokemons like Infernape, Empoleon ore something, but this is for other decks and not for G&G). ^^

Cya, Maik Reimann.

what happens if they stop the body by CC

Sorry to say it, but these lists are so bad, that i don't even have time to point everything out.
Yeah, it kindof sucks. I know.

I've never really played the deck, so I'm not that good at makng a list.
And i can't see how 1-1 Duscnoir is that effective, but everyone says it is...

1-0-1 Dusknoir DP line strikes fear in your opponents heart, when you know they are playing Pl0x,then you know dusknoir means disruption and bench control. When they can control your bench, then they can control the game and the pace you move. Meaning if they Cyclone or Warp, its going to count and disrupt your comeback.

The list are bad,but honestly,Gardilade is Pl0x and Pl0x is Gardilade no matter the list, its not like a good list won Nats.

Yeah, I know about the lists. I only can make a good list after actualy using the deck.

And yes, G&G and Plox have virtualy no difrence. Basicly, Polx is a bit more about speed, usualy no opener.Tech, but that's really it.

Actually, PLOX always runs Call Energy... That's the Starter. And before Call, Pachirisu. And the only difference between PLOX and G&G is that PLOX focuses on Power lockdown, while G&G focuses on OHKOs.

Really the only difference is either one more Gallade or Gardevior. Well forget that, only difference is the name.
Yes, but back in April (when this was writen, it took weeks to get up here) everyone was in the kick about re0naming a deck because they Tech'd in something. Everyone said they were diferent then, so we when along with it.

just glad the reign of terror is over. I hated playing GG game after game after game. Good article though. lets hope this deck stays semi viable but little played in tourneys.

Yes, thank Arceus, IT'S GONE!!!! Now we have little to worry about this deck.
Without the energies, it loses its speed, and is now suseptible to AMU, Kingdra, and other decks on the rise.
