Uxie Donk tier 2.

That deck is crazy good...

And yet it never seems to win anything much.

Probably because the good players won't play it any more and the bad/mediocre players find that their luck runs out at some point in the tournament.

Where's chrataxe when you need him? He did some great analysis of CC top cuts.

This listing is terrible. Kingdra isnt even a competitive deck right now, and Yanmega is fun, but not really top tier. And you put Sableye in 8th, that alone really is bad.

LostGar in first. lol. Yeah right. My listing:

1. LuxChomp
2. Sableye
3. DialgaChomp
4. Gyarados
5. VileGar
6. Magnezone
7. LostGar

Considering Machamp has better matchups than Scizor and Magnerock in the higher tiers (and has won more), this list is a bit ridiculous. Honestly, the format is too RPS to have tiers. People know Luxchomp/Dialgachomp, so more people play SP even though other decks could easily do just as well (if more people picked them up).

I don't see how some of you are putting Gyarados at Tier 2. A good player willl get it set up turn two while hitting for at least 60, often 90, and will continue to take prizes every turn. Mass states was flooded with Gdos. I played Gdos myself and beat both Luxchomp decks I played.

Tier 1

Luxchomp
Dialgachomp
Sablock
Gyarados
Vilegar

Regular Gyarados is pretty easy to play around in my opinion if you are playing Luxchomp. With Vilegar, Luxchomp, and Dialga being the main decks, I just don't think it's got the matchups that it wants.

Gyarados without the new BW trainers has extremely bad matchups against all of the SP decks, Magnerock, and Vilegar. There is absolutely no reason for it to be in Tier 1.

I also agree with Veg up there. This format is way too RPS for a consistent tier list.

Sablock>Dos imo.

Otherwise, looks about right.

I wouldn't say its SP match-ups are extremely bad >.>

They're lower than 50/50 to say the least. I haven't seen a Gyarados in top cut in this area in quite some time. This also includes cities. Luxchomp plain outruns it, Good Dialgachomp can wall it off, and Sablelock can stop it before its an issue. In general, I don't think any of its matchups against any Tier 1 deck plus Magnerock (which people think are Tier 2, but I'm inclined to disagree) are above 50/50.

I just haven't seen a good Gyarados come out of the woodwork. Granted, Drew Holton did good with it around here, but even he missed cut with it at a cities.

Why are people saying Magnezone variants are tier 1. If you look at states results it only won 1 states. Even machamp and lostgar won more than that. Magnezone is a good deck but it is not tier 1.

i dont know how you play gdos, but i think it has good matchups against sp decks if you play mew. if you manage to get a gdos into a lost zone, you can basically get a prize every turn. you only need 1 less prize to use mew effectivly. against dialgachomp you can´t obviously use mew, but i think gdos doesnt even need a mew to beat dialgachomp. however, magnerock(or magnezone/champ/rock whatever) should beat gdos easily.

@mike

i think people dont play magnezone, because they keep on their successful decks. Magnezone+Machamp is a good deck and i think it has good matchups against all good decks , esp. sp, if both decks have an equal start.

my tier list

tier 1:
luxchomp
dialgachomp
gdos
magnezone/machamp/regirock

tier 2
vilegar
lostgar
arceus
jumpluff
regigas

tier 3
scizor
charizard
steelix variants

not sure about sablelock because almost every deck, which can survive the first 2-3 turns, wins against sablelock

I think vilegar is definately tier 1. Triumphant cards such a rescue energy really helped vilegar. It doesnt really have any bad matchups in top tier although dialgachomp can be hard if you dont know how to play. I have played vilegar for a while and have had a lot of success.

Switch VileGar w/ Magnezoe and then add Sablelock to tier one and you'll have a good list.

The top tier are going to consist of decks that people are going to actually be prepared for. Stuff like Luxchomp, Gyarados, DiaglaChomp, Vilegar, and Sablelock. Nobody goes and says "Oh, I lose to zone, so I shouldn't play this deck" unless you know 100% that you are going to see at least 2-3 Magnezone's due to the fact that it is big in your meta.

The decks that have the most wins are going to be the top ones, and the decks that win are going to be the most played/most prepared for.

Machamp has great matchups only against LuxChomp and DialgaChomp not running Toxitank. It autoloses to Gyarados, VileGar, Jumpluff, and Charizard, has no answer to Honchkrow, and is only average against pretty much anything else.

No way Vilegar is a tier 1 decks, all it does is loose. Once you Ko the first Gengar the deck cannot answer.
