I have various speculations on that point, since I have spent quite sometime with PSA on the phone having them explain why this is so. The card they say must have been available at one time to the general public/market-place which is lame if you consider that there have been trophy cards graded in the past and those have never been available to the general market place or the public only to the winners and high end collectors. The card must have also have been published from a reliable source and forum sites in PSA's eyes are not unless maybe every single administrator/moderator on the Gym with an unanimous response verifies the authenticity of the card I purchased but that's doubtful. Also back in the day PSA graded allot of semi-rare to ultra-rare pokemon cards and the only thing they relied on I believe was the physical structure of the card which caused great confusion since there were cards that they graded more than once and labelled them according to the sender; so the same card would have a different header. Though that is also a poor excuse since the sender must fill out some paper work giving the accurate description of the card. In conclusion/confusion third-party grading companies work in mysterious ways.

I wouldn't buy a pre-release Raichu, but I'm real happy for anyone else who values the card as much as you evidently do. Ignore the nay-sayers.
Just what is the rarest pokemon card or peice of memorabilia? That raichu has to a candidate. Wotc printed up some uncut sheets of complete base set. I think they gave them out to staff in the offices around the world. No idea how much those might cost or how many were made or even if my memory is just imagining seeing the sheet. I hope they do exist and are affordable but I suspect even if such sheets do exist the price would be too rich for me

I have a tropical mega battle playmat from Hawaii, plastic front, mousepad type backing.
Give the fragility of the item, it may be the last one in existance.
I also have a banner that was made for the Pokemon Rocks Exhibit to promote the 6th Pokemon Movie.
I have been assured that it is unique.
Neither will be more valuable than the Pre-Raichu, but it isn't always the rarity of an item.
Several of us have banners from Worlds that were "one of" official items...once again good, but not more valuable than the pre-raichu...although my Worlds '04 Sandslash Banner is a must for any hardcore 'slash collector, and my energy segments from the "ring" in 2004 are the coolest things I have ever hung on walls to display.
Unique does not always mean valuable, even on official memorabilia.

Yeah but the problem is that the cards Always sell for more than banners, playmats, or any other accessory. Anyway the pre raichu should be worth $10,500 calling it rare is not doing it justice, it is definitely up there with the no. 1,2,3 1997 trainers and the pokemon illustrator.

And if you know hes going to need the words in the future or that something relevant to them is going to happen, then it would suggest that you know something yet aren't telling.
Oh, and in a previous thread we established that you're 18.
So take some advice, look at your keyboard. See the keys that have arrows pointing upwards? There called "Shift" keys. They work wonders.

what sample set.got a pic of it.
im busy with personal things but i can say with confidence by the end of the year my item will be up there with pre raichu/trophy/illustrator.
alot of cards are coming out of the wood shed.
and i cant say yet for my personal reason purposes but my item will be up asap and it too will be talked about for the year 2009 along with the other cards like pre-raichu and trophy cards.
im not saying its the best but it is up there with the cards being sold/bought this year.
theres a reason why im not saying anything yet i cant say yet but i will explain i got a very good reason.
