Basically, this season comes down to how much you can test and how much luck you have. If you dont' have connection the 1337 players, dont' even set your sights on first...but just top cutting. :/
I don't doubt that there are strategies that the public wouldn't see on first glance. But for the number of trainers we currently have, there aren't that many ways to really "trick" out a trainer engine and make a engine that works better than any other engine.
My honest opinion on the whole TRUK thing is that people are using it to disguise ideas that might not be praised because of their explicit creativity. Blissey by itself? Big whoop. But throw in the "special" trainer engine and you can make it sound really special by calling it Racing TRUK. Ohhh, see how special it sounds now?
Walrein by itself sounds like a lackbuster idea. But call it Ice TRUK and WOW you have a special deck.
Just my honest opinion.

Prime said:There aren't many choices when it comes to cards, and I honestly doubt the infamous TRUK engine is anything really special. Most likely it's just the same old cards we know about with maybe different quantities. Maybe 4 Wager to mess up the opponent, or whatever you could think of.

Phazon_Elite, I understand what you are saying and it makes sense. A deck with all supporters is going to run slower than a deck with a combination of supporters and trainers.
My point was that because of the lack of good supporters, there aren't many choices when it comes to tasks.

But because I don't see it being anything really special, that makes the whole idea behind the different TRUKs not really that special. Moving TRUK becomes just regular Blissey/Electivire. Ice TRUK becomes just plain ole speed Walrein. etc, etc, etc.
But I guess some people just like to feel special and get the public talking about their decks.
I understand what you are saying Phazon_Elite. And I'm not Metroid Prime, I'm Optimus Prime, lol.
SuperWooper: One of the reasons people were stressing how good TRUK was was it being a singular trainer engine that was just so good that it was used in multiple decks. If the trainer engine differs from deck to deck, how can they all be TRUK? There must be some common denominator among all the TRUK trainer engines, but if it's just a few cards, why is the engine that special then?
This is a great joke. I swear it is. Anyone that believes TRUK engine is anything spectacular go to Pokepedia.net and search for all standard trainers take a look at everything that is legal and then think to yourself is there any cards that are overlooked...the answer\'s no. I\'m actually typing up a trainer guide right now listing all the remotely playable trainers. Expect to see it later on tonight.
A few cards that I am sure you people know of it easily
