Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

TurnCruel - My Results.

Ok Pro, I will try your list against TurnCruel and post the results.

Yea Vegeta SS4,it was a goofy game, here is how it went:

Game 1: Absol Start, discarded Roseannes and one more important card. That crippled his setup and slow him down. Continued to Baleful Wind and took away Claydol as well. Then Lanturn cleaned up with Energy Split.

1-0 Win

Game 2: Absol Start, but no energy, he setup three Lv.Xs in three turns and just kept attacking. I got pokemon and no energy, then setup a claydol, then got energy and was coming back, but we didnt finish because he had to go, so conceded but i say it was a tie.

1-0-1 Tie

Game 2 was going to be a long game Im sure of it,because i had Lanturn to move any energy he had on his active Mesprit X to his benched Baltoy.

Also,Halibek is what I call my TurnCruel deck TheSupes.lol

Ok Mr. Spell check and so your telling me the main attacker is the other lanturn which there are only 2 of because earlier flygon said tentacruel wasnt the main attacker.

i was talking about your grammer, not your spelling. You've missed out alot of commas and full stops here

the aim attacker is either cruel or lanturn, the electric lanturn get's priority over the water one as an attacker. If you understood tghe deck maybe you'd understand what is the main attacker. Not saying you're dumb, cause this deck is quite technical, but yeah. Work the deck out properly.

what is "tghe" and i understand it. My luxray ohko's both cruel and the water lanturn....

and im not saying it wont be playable im just saying it wont be unstoppable.

Oh really? I thought 'I'll' was capitalized and had an apostrophe.

I think you're looking at the wrong Lanturn anyway, that one is barely, if ever used.
You're one to talk about grammar, Mr. Run-on sentence. Anyways, turncruel has such amazing potential. Heck, I could see froslass working its way into the deck.

My grammar good. I english good. WHO CARES ITS AN ONLINE FORUM. Geeze if you guys spent as much time working on grammar as you did trying to discuss this deck, the deck would have made serious progress. The deck is fast and consistent and I feel has almost no "main" attacker, both are situational and attack in their given situations.

OK after hours on redshark, I tested again, I played 7 games vs Luxray ProPlays list and 3 games another constructed list.

Out of the 10 games against Proplays list,TurnCruel won 7 of the games. Why?

Game 1: Absol wrecks my opponents hand, taking away Candy and Roseannes. I continue to Baleful wind while I setup a Lanturn(Lightning ) to do 90 and already had a Lanturn to spread to anything on the bench. He used Energy Pickups ,out of 2 he hit 1,and didnt play any Energy Switchs(he just didnt draw any and the other ones got discarded by Baleful). 1-0

Game 2: Absol start and only hits energy, he setups a claydol and 2 luxrays. He gets a roseannes and gets all the energy and stuff he needs. I still Baleful and hit a night maintenance and energy switch.Absol gets Koed and I try to spread with Lanturn, and spread twice, while setting up a another lanturn. Lanturn gets Koed and I spread again. It gets Koed, bring up a Absol and devole the one on the bench for a Ko and next turn do the same to the active. I forgot to mention he had another one on the bench he just started to build up. Brings up the new one and KOs after and the next turns night maintenance the others back into the deck. I lose. 1-1

Game 3: Absol wrecks his hand bad, hitting candy and roseannes. Then hits Claydol and that was pretty much game. Since he didnt draw any Bebes until it was 2 late.

2-1

Game 4: Tentacool start and I lose T3.

2-2

Game 5: Absol start with Chinocu/Baltoy,I hit candy and energy. He gets call on his Shinx,I hit the Luxray in his hand. No Claydol yet. I have Lanturn setup with Lightning now,he has 2 energy on the field. I retreat and spread. He gets Bucks,no Claydol.he attacks with Shinx to get a lightning from the deck. I place a water on Lanturn and Ko both Shinxs. He gets nothing and I win.

3-2

Game 6: Chinocu start, I get the Water Lanturn out with a Claydol and just 40 and he gets all the pokes, but little supporters and energy. I KO 2 Shinx and Claydol,he gets a Luxray out finally, but I have a Lanturn with 2 Water and Multi on the bench by then.

4-2

Game 7: Well this game didnt finish, but conceded and u can call that a win lol jk

5-2

Chromecatz List:

Game 1: Absol start, wrecks candy and bebes first turn. He has no call, and I setup multi Lanturns and just roll after Balefulling for 5 turns.

6-2

Game 2: I get rolled, Tentacool start and Luxray KOs me T3 because I draw terrible.

6-3

Game 3: Absol start, but terrible hand, but I hit supporters for 3 turns str8,and that gives me times to setup a Lanturn Lightning and get to doing 80 a turn to 2 Shinxs,Rayquaza and Claydol. He gets a Luxray, but by then its too late since I had other Lanturns set up on the bench.

7-3

Thats my results for today, more tommorow, Luxray was way easier than I thought when Absol hits certain cards, alot of other starts werent terrible besides Tentacool and I got really bad hands. I thought Luxray was gonna be a Auto Loss, but it wasnt, maybe I need to try again.

i dont run bucks? so i dont know how i "hit" one and you konw its a lot different when im playing my own deck ill agree on the absol wreckign but i dont think you could go 7-3 send me your list

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

flygon your inbox if full and i need help on how to use redshark sooo delete somemessages idk how to find your network or whatever

Ok More results. I played against Proplay(Luxray) and this is what happened:

Game 1: Absol start and I went first, I Baleful and hit Roseannes and Felicty. He attaches to Shinx and thats all. I Baleful again and hit another trainer and some other card. He can only recharge and attach. He has a baltoy and buzz on the bench, but I wrecked his hand with Absol,so he concedes.

1-0

Game 2: Absol start,I hit Felicty and Roseannes again. He Started out with Buzzs and misses the first 2 Paralyze flips. I still Baleful and hit no stuff. He has a SHinx and Baltoy on the bench but his hand is low due to Baleful, and the one card in his hand I didnt Baleful was CLAYDDOL!!!! So now he gets to setup. Im setting up a Lanturn Lightning with waters and has 2 tentacool and setup Froslass on the bench with Claydol also. We exchange 2 prizes each, then He is in position for a KO,but whiffs on the energy switch from cosmic and whiffs on the energy pickup when he flipped. So i setup KOs basicially with Froslass and it never gets Koed. I take a 2 prize lead from Froslass. He brings up Vire with 4 energy, but whiffs on all Flips(that was crazy). I retreat and bring up Tentacruel. I Tenta Strike Claydol that has 50 from Froslass spreading, and KO it with one prize left. He still has Vire active with 1 energy, but concedes again.

2-0

The 2nd game was intense when Luxray gets to setup, but relying on Switches and Pickups are what killed Proplay really, and flipping like 8 tails on everything he needed. Thanx proplay for the game,we need to test more whenever possible.

I'm writing an article on this deck right now, and I have to say it has a lot of positive matchups, but the Magnezone one...well, it's pretty rough.

Then get on Hamachi :x

As a note, I'm putting two 'variants' in my article, ont with Absol/Ampharos and one with Azelf/Deoxys. My experience so far is that Absol/Ampharos makes the good matchups even better, and Azelf/Deoxys makes the bad matchups not as terrible.

Absol with no Ampharos is good, Ampharos just seems like another poke you have to setup, especially since most attacks take at least 2 besides Energy Split and Cruel takes none, but to stay in the game, you gotta have Energy Pickups in the deck.

Not really. Ampharos is there for his body, though you can and will have to attack with him sometimes, in which case you power him up after the others are powered up. One can agrue that Lanturn can deal better damage if correctly equipped, but Ampharos 2HKOs most threats withouut being OHKOed.

I have been testing this deck as well and I agree with you. I told Supes Amphy was just horrid in his version, creates a lot of clunc, its a nice idea if it didnt take away consistancy. I also agree with Energy Pickup, then again, I run a vastly different version than most. Energy Switch is also good in here too.

Results from Shadowguard game

Game 1: I got Lanturn T2 to spread and do just rack up Kos. Simple

Game 2: I got crap, I started with Absol, but it took me several turns to get Claydol and other stuff. I was keeping up,but one KO that was crucial and I conceded.

Game 3: I got another crappy hand, Absol start with only a Chinochu . NO Baltoy for several turns, and then I just was like Im done, and that was it.

The matchup I knew was in my favor, but I didnt get draws and setup the other games. Ima do more testing.

Eeveelutions v. Turncruel.

3 games.

Absol starts was in all games against mostly Eevee starts of mine.

Absol usually discard useless stuff and only get like 1 energy.

Eeveelution player played REALLY smart and able to get the game in control

Most of the time, one or two turn KO on Absols with either Bucks or PP.

For the remainder 3 or 4 prizes, usually sweep down with Leafeon Lv.X or Glaceon Lv.X for the win.

Mind you, the Turncruel player usually sac at least 3 absols to get him spreading

lol.

this is a word of advice that turncruel is usually not the play due to the lack of ER2.

so yeah, eeveelutions went 3-0 vs turncruel :thumb:

How does Absol hit useless stuff?? Majority of the time Absol hits 2 cards a turn ,especially in a Lutions deck that is heavy with Trainers to get going. If anything,TurnCruel vs Leafys variants are 50/50 s

ya know, this eeveelutions player played really smart and know a way to get around baleful wind thus getting the opponent hits useless stuff - usually pokemon.
