They have plenty of staff to do updates. However, the pokegym is not the offical TCG website. The standings have been up since last night. And if a problem does arise, updates do go to the bottom of the to do list.
Nats and worlds are very much different in how they are staffed, on a basic level, you will have the TPCi employees working at these events whereas you would not @ states or regionals.
The players could of course update via this thread, but either they are playing, trading, or touring. No one wants to waste too much time posting while they are there. Thats what airport layovers are for....
Try the gopokemon site for updates. Some people have already posted links to that site here, so its pretty easy to get to.

TCG Top Cuts are 75 minutes long. We have 15 minutes remaining in the Top 16 round.Time for the top cut matches is 1 hour, right?
