Master Profs ... Excellent idea.

My system would be 10 events as Judge (at least 5 as TO or HJ) & a 90% pass rate in the exam (23/25 or more). Minimum !! 3 month stand down before you can try the exam again (events judged still count).

Retesting approx every 6 months would also be my requirement (November & June) and a 2 month stand down before falling back to Professor status if they fail again. June being the main time, as that would be in the middle of the major tournament season when we should be building to our peak.

Limited number of MP's would also mean my rewards would work better ... namely ... ALL MP's are offered the chance to be used as 1st choice Judges at Worlds ... including Trips. Multi language speaking MP's would be the priority, then all other MP's (i speak 2 ... English & Foul ;))

I would have something like being a judge at 1 Major event (Stadium, State, Nationals, Worlds or a tournament with more than 100 players total), but that would only apply in the USA, as Intl have limited access to that size event.

Obviously this would create a demand on people wanting to achieve this status, but how many would actually achieve it ?? Be honest ... would you pass ??

Good ideas there, and yes, I already have passed that mark- HJ, TO, 23/25, Eng/small am't French, except for the Major event in USA, Let me know when you are on the selection committee! LOL

I hope that once the "store" does get up & running that there will be a way for a person, whether a PTO, TO, Professor or whatever, to check how many points they have online somewhere instead of trying to remember it all.

Sorry, there was the slight case of the League store/reporting system blowing up in our face that has put me a couple weeks behind schedule on several projects.

I'm working on the full details this week.

well, I guess I would rather have it late and mostly perfect than now and really messed up.
keep up the good work :thumb:

I think more than anything I want to see in the prof. store is the Metang Stadium Challenge promo. I was sick that week and didn't get to go, and from what my friend said (who worked all day at the event) he basically had to grab one from Dave Scwimmer's hand just to get ONE for himself. So unless I can get one somehow (like in the store) there will forever be an empty space in my promo collection.

Do we have a list of what gives you points? And if not, will there be a list?

yeah, i'd like one too now that you mention it. i couldn't go because i was at yale university for a summer program...unfortunatly, i doubt it'll be there.

Now, what I'm about to say is not to be taken in the wrong context. I am a person who tries to help out his game, its players, and collectors all the time, including with things like complex card rulings and deck advice. HOWEVER...

With the announcement of the rewards program, I admit that I will be one of the first new recruits lured in-and for good reason! What they're doing is rewarding the seasoned TO's, and adding on new Professors with a very nice bit of bait in the form of product. Since my store holds weekly tournaments, and has so far held every prerelease from Sandstorm to Rocket Returns, I have an opportunity to get what I need without spending anymore than time and effort =x

Yes, when you log into your Pokemon account and go to Professor Store, it's all listed there.

Professors earn credits for:
Running tournaments
Judging tournaments (forthcoming)
Running Leagues
Volunteering at conventions
Online articles (forthcoming

I'm really looking forward to this Professor Store. Hats and Jackets or shirts would be nice in my opinion, and maybe some "Prof." Stamped Promo cards or something. The place I play at holds weekly tournaments too, so there is always chances for me to officialy judge it and earn some points. To be honest, I'm a weak player, so I'd rather help out more then play sometimes. :)

I really don't care about the goodies. I will try to do the most I can, just so I can be the best professor/judge/organizer I can be.

Lets just say that anyone going to GenCon SoCal will get a first glance of the Professor baseball ca... I've already said too much... ;)

mike, when will we see the store go up? we should have seen it 7 days ago!!! we all want to know what cool professor stuff will be available.

I'm working on the full details this week and hope to have them up by Friday. The store itself probably won't be up until the first week of December (which is okay, considering most of the items won't be finished until the middle of December). I'll most likely give you a list of everything that's confirmed on the details, so at least you'll know what's coming.
