POP had a contract with Origins for quite some time, I'd thought. Apparently it was in their best interest to move elsewhere.

Oh happy day. [/sarcasm]

^ The above poster is from Ohio!

This is awesome...To think...I could actually "drive" to Nationals now!

Yes, and because being from Ohio has EVERYTHING to do with it. So what if I'm from Ohio? I enjoyed going to Origins. I enjoyed having something to do when I wasn't playing Pokemon. I enjoyed having at least one major POP event that wasn't hundreds of miles away. Not like we'd ever get worlds near Ohio.

I live in California >.>
I thought going to L.A from the Bay Area was long for going to the VG showdown >.>

I liked Origins. I really don't see why this was done.

Because Origins screwed up the event tickets last year. I'm annoyed that I won't be able to go to Origins now, and that it will be farther away, but overall I think it will be a good thing. Does anyone know if there will still be an entry fee of any kind?

Yeah, that means I can't go. That's a shame. Unless I get a travel award, there's absolutely no way I can go. Thanks POP!

Wow. This makes so much sense. Lets take an event that has had attendance grow each and every year, and move it somewhere else. What a wonderful idea. Lets take something that's working great and change it. Hasn't POP ever heard the expression 'If it isn't broken don't fix it?" And not enough room at Origins isn't a reason. Pokemon was one of the biggest events at Origins. They sold hundreds of tickets because of Nationals being there.
